Rated 1 out of 5 by LairdLH from Not a Good experience I renewed the warranty on my HP Laptop not knowing that it was only for Hardware issues. I thought that it was an all encompassing coverage. I was just made aware a few minutes ago that this coverage would not cover my issue of not being able to connect to the network. It was deemed a software issue and not hardware. I cannot argue that analysis, since I don't know. However, I tried all software recommendations to avail, before calling HP Support. Only to be made aware that I will need to pay an additional $51 in addition to a subscription plan. If these options were made clear in the offer I received from HP I would have been able to make a better informed decision. So, my experience is not a good one.

It would be important to know if this warranty includes physical damage caused by the user. Example, it is in a backpack and takes a fall down resulting in a cracked bezzle and screen. Would this be covered and repaired under this warranty?

It concerns me that the original warranty is only 1 YEAR. So, HP does not consider their laptop computers of any value after 1 year. HP is producing/marketing its products as "Premium" quality, but won't back them beyond 1 YEAR? Oxymoron isn't it?
