I have an error code of 601 when rebooting my laptop. My laptop shuts down intermittently when not plugged in to a power cord. I have been transferred to four different tech support staff. Ajay was very nice and tried to be helpful but after updating all software and even reinstalling the OS I still have the same problem. He said I can send in my laptop for fixing. I don't want to send it in, I want a battery sent to me and I will install it. So now I was told I can go to HP store to buy a battery and my extended warranty will not cover it.

With my own study realized that the computer worked , but the connections to the screen failed. I am use the computer with a separate monitor.

Your video with the "back to school" offer said the 1 Yr Post Warranty Plan DOES cover breakage due to drops, spills, etc. which would, I would think cover the screen but another person asked about the screen and was told "NO". Which is it?
