Too Expensive
We bought the laser printer when we were both working. At that time we could afford HP cartridges. After we retired, we changed out the HP ink cartridges with aftermarket ones. The aftermarket ones worked okay for a while then started to smudges the paper. We tried drum cleaners, expensive HP paper, everything. Nothing worked. So we bought new HP cartridges. They work much better than the aftermarket ones we were using. However, for $400 (the cost of the HP cartridges) we could have bought a cheap printer and when the toners goes out, dump it and buy another one. If you have a color printer and can afford it, go for the HP cartridges. If you are like us and now only need black and white, don't waste your money.

Did not fit in my machine
I ordered this cartridge because it came up on my online order of cartridges as one that would fit in my HP LaserJet Pro. It did not fit, so I had to send it back and ask for a refund.

Not knockoffs

Ridiculous Cost Trumps All
I don't care if the thing could install and uninstall itself while delivering a finished product that could hang in the Louvre; when the cost of new ink for my printer exceeds $400, you've reached my tipping point, and honestly should have reached it at $100 but I was lured and lulled by auto order convenience and what would otherwise be a great printer except its own software can never find it when every other program on my desktop sees it in an instance. Bottom line, beware, cost of this printer (LaserJet 20 Color MFP) over its lifetime will easily exceed $10,000.

HP 131X will provide toner for more pages
I chose HP 131X as I believe that I get more for my buck as the number of printed pages is really extended with the x version. The quality is good and I enjoy the fast delivery to my home (and easy & free return of the used toner cartridge.)

Wonderfully Surprised!
I've been conditioned to order things through supply stores (Office Max/Office Depot) and not from the manufacturer, so I contacted the supply stores first as usual when my printer started giving me low toner warnings. The supply stores did not have the high volume cartridges and they said they could ship the smaller volume cartridges, but it would take two to three weeks, leaving my only option with them to make a 3 hour round trip to pick it up (that is how long it takes to get to their closest store). In almost desperation, I went to HP's online store. I made my order and two days later the replacement cartridge was in my hands. I was wonderfully surprised. I never thought a manufacturer could outsell and outperform the supply stores, but they did and at the best price!
