So this means that there is a ink cartridge as well as a drum.....I just need HP CF232a

Thank you for your question regarding the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. The 201A standard yield and 201X high yield toner cartridges have the imaging drum connected to the toner cartridge. When you replace the toner, you also replace the imaging drum.

No, an imaging drum is not the same as a toner cartridge. Typically a drum needs to be replaced every 8-10 toner cartridges.

Thank you for your question! The HP 32A Original LaserJet Imaging Drum, CF232A will have a removable tear strip. If the tear strip is still intact it has not been used. Thanks for being an HP customer!
