Rated 2 out of 5 by plain ole pop from More trouble than it's worth as a stand alone on one computer, it is a plain old everyday mouse. I bought it for it's advertised potential of dual devises. not worth the hours spent. left on vacation and return date passed. oh well. at least it will provide increased stress for my heart pills to work on.

where is the manual or instructions on how to use the programmable buttons and also how to pair the bluetooth connection to multiple devices (2)

Does the HP 430 need a mouse pad or will the optical sensor work on just about any flat surface?

Hello, Steve. Thanks for your question. We recommend using a mouse pad if your desk or table is reflective or glass. Otherwise, it would be your preference whether you want to use a mouse pad or not.
