Decent overpriced cartridge
The cartridge is overpriced but doesn’t dry out if left in printer with weekly use. I did find a pool of black ink in the cartridge seat so in general my opinion is that HP printers are not of good quality, nor sturdy enough for my expectations. This is the 3rd HP printer I’ve had and I feel the same about all of them. As a bonus printer with laptop purchase its fine enough.

For the HP ENVY110 printer, do I always need to install a color cartridge even if I'm only doing black and white printing ? If not, is a SINGLE black and white cartridge (60 XL) sufficient to install or would I need to install two ?
HP Printers that use two cartridges (one black, one tri-color) can print if one cartridge is empty. To continue printing, remove the empty cartridge from the printer. If a Single-cartridge mode message displays, select OK. If you are using the black cartridge, prints are in black and white (grayscale). If using the color cartridge, colors print normally but black prints lighter than usual. You can continue to print until print quality becomes unacceptable.
