Problems
I'm on my second black ink cartridge and have had the same problem with both of them. I don't print stuff every day and I have found that the ink fades or the cartridge dries out and when I print a test page the ink is streaky and fading. I have to clean the cartridge to get it back to normal but it does the same thing again after a couple days. Would love to talk to an actual person about this! I should add that the color ink is fine, it's just the black that is the problem.

Great marketing HP!! Lets build a cheap printer that is going to fail before the trial cartages run out of ink and if by some miracle it does last 3 months let make about 30 different types of cartages and to only make things that much better lets price the ink 10 times more than the printer cost. Way to go HP!!!

Great Printer and Ink
I have always owned a HP printer. I find that they are most dependable and
offered at a very fair price. I also purchase all of my ink using only HP.
I just wish that installing the printer to my computer was as easy as it
was years ago when the printer came with a cd disk. It was so easy then
to connect both the printer and my computer.

Why did I get only 20 pages printed with a new HP cartridge before it ran out of ink?
Thank you for your question! As this is a product forum and not a technical support forum, we are unable to determine why an HP cartridge performed the way it performed. The actual yield will vary depending upon the amount of content on the page. Highly "dense" documents may yield fewer pages than the ISO standard, while less dense ones would yield more pages than the standard. Printing that uses primarily one color could cause lower yields for that color, and higher yields for colors not heavily used. The yield you experience will depend upon the content that you print.
