Deceptive product, poor service. Avoid HP website
The HP website suggested this as the power supply for my new Envy. It was not. I initiated an exchange and was told that HP did not sell the product I needed. They initiated a return and told me that they would waive their restocking fee and not charge shipping. They did not, and are impossible to reach.

The SlimDock docking stations use the AC Adapter that came with the PC. If the AC adapter that came with your PC is not compatible with that Dock, your PC will not be compatible with that Dock.

I have an EliteBook 840 G3, serial# 5CG9040PVW, SKU#X7R86EC#ABA, and have a charger that is HP PN# L25298-002, and I need a docking station ASAP that is compatible with *both* because it keeps shutting down on the docking station I already have.
The HP EliteBook 840 G3 does not show the proper port for HP Dock compatibility. At minimum a USB-C dock with Display Port and Power Delivery is required.

Addressing the question below, the info is...Model: 17t-s100, ProdID: WOU93AV. The adaptor was the 65W with the blue tip. Will this 65W adapter work with a HP ENVY 17-s100 Notebook as a replacement?
