Overpriced and no discounts and promo codes. Price fixing at retail stores and online,
Overpriced for quantity received and HP offers no discounts or promo codes to offset cost. Even though I purchased HP printer and own printer, HP is always watching every move. HP locks out competitor ink manufacturers by restricting to only HP cartridges because when I purchase General Motors automobile, I can use any gasoline, air filters or oil brands just so it meets manufacturers requirements. HP should be up front with cost and sell printers at real cost and the reduce ink price instead of trying to fool purchaser with low priced printer.

This printer (office jet pro 6978) is almost always not printing cyan.
It has been this way since approximately six months after installation.
Run head clean two or three times and it used to work for a few weeks.
since that it needs multiple cleans to get any cyan printing by this time a brand new cartridge shows about 50 % left.
Recently it doesn't print cyan at all. Well possibly two or three lines.
This is disgusting.
The money I spend on cartridges trying to get this thing to work is more than the printer cost.
In my past life one of my departments was drafting, they were using high end plotters and large format printers from HP.
The plotters worked generally well but the printers continually had print head issues.
Now I pay for it not the company
Time to go else where.
The printer is great except this one problem which appears to be very common.

HP 902XL cyan ink cartridge is defective
I recently purchased three 902XL ink cartridges from HP.com. The yellow cartridge and the magenta cartridge work fine. However the cyan does not work at all. After reading numerous online reviews, I learned that there has been a known manufacturing issue with these cyan cartridges for a number of months. Why is HP continuing to sell these defective cartridges?
