I was having trouble with the existing adapter -- the battery just would not charge. So, in desperation, I ordered this one. (used a different computer) When I returned to the laptop an hour later, the battery was fully charged! Now THAT's good performance!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Rusty’s dad from Charger does not perform like the original. The charger can not keep up and charge the battery while the computer is on. Granted there is a problem with the battery, but the original charger, which still works, charges the battery when the computer is on (as well as off).

Is this 90w AC adapter compatible with the 45w adapter that came with my HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC Product number: 7P8K6AV? It is HP part number 25296-002 and it says to replace it with HP 741727-001. Can I use this higher voltage one?
