Restarted printer to fix cartridge issue
The cartridge installed easily and worked fine for a few days. Then after a few pages across a few days, a message appeared saying it was either not a HP genuine cartridge or was damaged. I took it out and reinstalled a couple of times with no success. Then shutdown the printer and turned it back on again. It has worked fine now for the last week.

Since I input Black one in HP8710 I been getting error. I need to shutdown printer and turn on again. No problem prior with previous cartridges.

ON AUTO SHIP I PAY FOR
The HP Black ink emptied and it said it wasn't an HP ink, (it was) so I ended up having to buy a $40 black ink cartradge. There was no way to be able to talk to someone to explain that it needed to go on my auto ship, that I pay for monthly. no customer service, its all auto computer responses and they want money to talk to a person. If the printer says it's not an HP ink than you don't get the auto delivery. I definintly need the auto ship. I run a business and can't be in the middle of printing than have no ink. It was a great option but I will need to cancel it and just purchase ahead like the good ol days. Im not paying monthly and having to buy the ink as well!

No, the HP OfficeJet 8600 uses the HP 950 ink for black and 951 for the other three colors. The 952 ink will not be compatible.
