I took it out of the package and inserted it into the yellow slot. It Fit! The official ink cartridges are too expensive but I had no choice, of course.

Too Expensive
I bought a HP at a Good price and I think they give you sample ink cartridges so after afew months your printer needs ink.
Then they get you with the Super Expensive Ink.
And they make the printer if 1 of the color ink is empty, you can't even print out a black and white copy
No Happy with HP!!!

HP Inks Give Superior Results
HP ink has always given superior results, both with text and graphics. I even used a damp cloth to "swipe" a test graphic...it did not smear.

I recently ordered from HP yellow ink 952XL. It was a very easy task with competive prices and came in a few days.
Upon inspection of the ink box I see a date of Oct. 2021. This leaves about 6 months until expiration and possible rejection by the printer. Not happy about that.

I buy a printer from HP for at most $129 and it cost me close buy ink cartridges. I don’t ai will ever buy a HP printer product again. I had to buy the blue cartridge from someone on Amazon because the HP Store was out of stock for this 952XL ink..How ridiculous is that... .

Thank you for your question. HP 952XL will work with your current printer. The XL refers to the yield of the ink. Not the size of the cartridge.

Does this ink work for HP OFFICEJET PRO 8600 PLUS
Thanks for your question! The HP OfficeJet 8600 series printers use HP 950 and 951 ink cartridges. This ink will not be compatible with your printer.

Thank you for your question regarding the 6055e. That printer cannot use the 952XL ink cartridges. It can use the 67 standard and the 67XL ink cartridges.
