Ink cartridges now not lasting very long
I have an old HP printer that works well and is lasting forever, but it seems like the ink cartridges for it are now going out of ink in a few months with little use. It would appear that they are drying up in the packaging before it is sold. I wonder if it is because the printer model is so old that the cartridges were made years ago too?

Expensive
Very expensive but needed to make the printer (HP) to function correctly. After market or refills do not work with HP printer as well. HP has the market locked and is not giving the customer a break on cost.

Color not correct
I purchased a tricolor and black ink for my HP Officejet 6310 all in one but
for some reason when I print (ex, a recipe) the print comes out in a faint blue, not the dark black as I am seeing as I write. You ask would I recommend-I don't have much choice as this is the cartridge I need. I have always used HP ink in my printer.
On the color, I printed another item that was suppose to be purple and white and the print came out red and white with a purple edge like it wanted to print that color

The ink is high quality, as expected. But it's so expensive! Even though my printer still works fine, I have been considering buying a different brand that uses less expensive ink. Replacing both cartridges costs nearly as much as the printer itself.

I have a HP printer model 2610xi. Will the #98 black print cartridge work with this printer? I noticed the #96 black print cartridge that it uses is no longer sold and wanted to know if this is a good replacement cartridge.
The HP PhotoSmart 2610 printer is designed to work with original HP 94, HP 95, HP 96, and HP 97 ink cartridges. The HP 98 will not be compatible.

It says that 98 replaces 96 but I don’t see my printer listed my printer is an OfficeJet7200. Will it work?
Hello, Mindy thanks for your question, and apologies for the confusion! The OfficeJet 7200 is not pulling up in the HP US product database. I was able to find an OfficeJet 7210. That uses the HP 94 in place of the discontinued HP 96. That model does not show the 98 as being compatible. Hopefully, that is the model you have. If not please resubmit the question with the model number that is on the printer itself. Thanks for being an HP customer!
