    Rated 5 out of 5 by Cassiesstar from Fabulous Color Laser Printer - Small and Efficient My HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw is FABULOUS!!! Although at initially, I was not so sure since the front paper tray seemed a bit flimsy ... until it was full of paper, and then it slid back in like it was on ball bearings! The set-up was effortless, once i saw where to do it online ... it happened without a hitch ... EASY! As far as the color printing is concerned there was no set-up here, like I had to do with my earlier 12-year-old HP color laser printer ... this one was set up right from the start! And it already comes with ALL of the ink cartridges already inside the printer. Nothing to do but to plug it in, plug in the USB cable (or set up the Wi-Fi), go to HP online to set it up ... and print! EASY!!! And the images are fabulous, including the color photos which I also printed with it! If there is any downside, the ONLY thing that I found was that the whine of the printer, while it is printing, is a bit loud, but nothing to complain about from my perspective.

A laser-jet would not do, and was not high quality. This prints great, and quick, and you can print from phone too. The set up was unbelievable. Literally one step, go to the website, and it found all the mac, wifi, computer, router addresses, downloaded and installed the software, (no guessing), and linked it all up, ready to print. No "add printer", no downloading software, no running install and hope if finds your printer. Excellent choice. Also, printer is NOT loud like other comments say.

    Is it possible to add a second paper tray to this printer. I am most concerned about having a separate tray for envelopes.

    Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw printer does not have an option for an additional tray. We recommend looking at the HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dw printer. The HP LaserJet Pro M454dw printer has 1 multipurpose tray that can hold 50 sheets and a paper tray that can hold up to 250 sheets. You can add a paper tray that can hold up to 550 sheets to this printer.

    How do you make a photocopy with this jet pro M225dw machine of another piece of paper? Where do you put the paper?

    Can I hand feed a single sheet so that the paper does not get jammed? Is there a way to take thicker paper?

    Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw printer has a single slot for a paper that is above the paper tray. This printer can handle the following media weights: 60 to 163 g/m² (Uncoated/Matte, recommended), however up to 175 g/m² Postcards and 200 g/m² HP Matte is allowed in the driver; 60 to 163 g/m² (Coated/Glossy, recommended), however up to 175 g/m² Postcards and 220 g/m² HP Glossy is allowed in the driver.
