I had a really old one that was doing the job for the handful of prints I needed per year. I decided it was time to get a new one because I got tired of dealing with issues with the old one. I was not prepared for the quality of the prints at a lower price. I know a decade is a lifetime in the tech industry, but this excellent printer got me by surprise. Very happy I bought it. I hope it lasts many years without giving me problems.

That printer didn't get much use but hadn't been functioning well as it aged, even with brand new ink cartridges. Thats one reason I went with the color laser, its probably overkill for what we use it for but so far it seems very reliable. Fast printing, though we mostly print small jobs of 10 pages or less its always done when we get to the printer (the printer is in a bedroom and everyone prints with AirPrint). The color quality is excellent and seems fine even with photos. Though for a high quality picture that will be displayed we typically get them printed online or at the local pharmacy.

HP does not tell you that but when you try and make a purchase the magic words-------not in stock. The new model M255dw is great------when you can find a tonner. NOT NOW!

Setup was painless after setting up WiFi and then using the HP app. Setting up printing from tablets and phones was easy, and AirPrint works great! Quick printing with no warmup, too. I'll never get another inkjet printer. One caveat: I was setting up the printer to share with my Google Drive, but at the end decided to cancel (privacy concerns), but I could not back out of the menu on the printer. A power cycle was necessary. There's also nothing in writing about replacing toner cartridges and how that process works. I guess I'll find out later.

I called support and they tried to replace it with a refurbished model because they said my printer was a previously registered model (so possibly a refurb). Actual chat log below Support:  It will be HP checked and tested refurbished printer. Me:  why? I ordered a new printer. Recieved a broken one. You are replacing it with a refurb. just send me a new printer Support:  As I can check your printer's warranty starts from 08/04/2020. HP replace it with a new printer with in 30 days but after 30 days the replacement printer is refurbished one.

    Is HP 202A Toner Compatible with the HP Color Laser Jet Pro M255dw?
