Three times I was asked to check the box, instead of being helpful. Once I finished the request, I was told it would be sent out right away with 2-day shipping. It has been two months since that request and just recently got a message that they were sending it. I of course had already bought a cord and spent more money in HP’s failure to have good customer service. Never again!

The scanner function digitizes images on paper to create document files in your computer whose image on your monitor looks just like the piece of paper in your hand.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by Dovehaven from Terrible customer service and defective product I bought a reconditioned color, laser printer in order to avoid the continued dance of ink jet printer cartridges. The printer did not work from the get-go. Many hours on the phone with HP reps trying to fix the problem, until they concluded that they had to send a technician out and replace the paper feeder. Three tries and finally, they found a technician, who came on the day of my move. I did not have a chance to try the printer until I moved and had internet connected ( as of today). Unsurprisingly, I am unable to hook the printer up to my Wi-Fi. Again the misery of a call to HP, 25 minute wait, a rude and unintelligible agent who hung up on me after about a minute. Call back wait for one hour on the phone, only to hear a message that they were unavailable and to call back. These issues have had a detrimental effect on my life and are not merely numerous and very meaningless apologies for “inconveniences”. Losing many hours of my time Is a harm to me—not an inconvenience. Further, I still don’t have a printer I can use, right at the time in my life when I have most needed it. HP used to be a great company with excellent customer service. Now it is among the worst.

I CALLED AND THE PEOPLE WERE UNPROFESSIONAL AND INEPT. I RETURNED THE ITEM THE NEXT DAY, AFTER HAVING THEM ORDER A "NEW" PRINTER REPLACEMENT. THEY INDICATED THEY WOULD EXPEDITE THE NEW ONE. THEN A FEW DAYS LATER WHEN I HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM, I FOUND OUT THEY WOULD ONLY SHIP THE NEW ONE WHEN THE OLD ONE WAS RECIEVED AND INSPECTED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS SO UPSET, I CANCELED THE REPLACEMENT AND ASKED FOR A FULL REFUND, WHICH WOULD ONLY OCCUR AFTER 2 WEEKS. I SIMPLY CALLED MY CC COMPANY AND DISPUTED THE CHARGE. HP USED TO BE A GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY HAVE JOINED THE RANKS OF POORLY RUN AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

There is not a way to give an exact lifespan of how long this specific unit will last. Various factors can play a part in the printer's life as far as how long a specific unit in the series would last.     The device is connected to the network, this is controlled by our IT division remotely, unfortunately they cannot access the printer because the Wi-Fi Direct field and the EWS (Embedded Web Server) must be disabled for remote access.

    Will the scanner autodetect legal sized documents when scanning direct to email

    Yes, just place the originals in the Automatic Document Feeder and scan the pages using the HP Scan software in the HP SmartApp. This app has an option to fix the original size to letter etc, or set the scanner to identify the size of each page.

    I understand that the wireless connectivity of HP's LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw, introduced in 2023, is limited to 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5, introduced in 2014).  Does HP sell a laser printer that supports 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6)?

    The HP agents keep saying this printer isn't Instant Ink compatible. yet HP just sent me my first Instant Ink cartridge today. HP 210/220/230 Instant Ink Toner W8000J (Black), W8001J (Cyan), W8003J (Magenta), W8002J (Yellow). Now is it compatible?
