It was easy to setup and now they can easily print from any device in the house. However, since buying it, I have researched printer cartridges for it and am completely taken aback. It costs almost as much as the printer itself for a new set. This is ridiculous IMHO. I'm not in favor of trying to beat the "system" as they have the OEM HP cartridges locked down by a chip you have to try and remove and install on any new third party cartridge in order to use them. Even if you could get it to work, there's drawbacks in functionality in doing so. I don't mind paying more for genuine HP cartridges, but I cannot imagine why HP has to charge such exorbitant prices for them -- a new set is definitely over $200 and can be upwards to $300. Definitely not in line with what anyone would expect them to cost. Buyer beware.

Nice that it is wireless and both my husband and I can print to it. So far, so good. Set-up was fairly easy. Still learning the user interface. Liked the old scanning software that came with the old printer. It allowed you to place several photos on the glass, scan, then retrieve multiple images without rescanning. Haven't figured out how to do that with the new interface. Still learning! Prints extremely well. Don't need the fax feature.

I replaced the ink 3 times in the inkjet and didn’t even use a single ream of paper. The laserjet prints faster and the toner lasts so much longer. The premium in price wasn’t that great. I wish I would have purchased a laser printer years ago.

The control panel is not lighted except for a couple of indicators. Non of the keypad options, nor the color/BW copy buttons. That in itself is not an issue, but there is no contrast on the button. Icons are shiny black on dull black, the only way you can see the icon. Terrible in low light. Second major issue. As I read it seems on this newer printer HP has gone over the top in preventing you from using aftermarket toner. This is a MAJOR issue, to not let you use any other brand when HP toner is 2 1/2 times comparable toner that fits in the printer. I honestly would not mind paying a premium for HP toner if it were within reasonable percentages, 20 or more percent. But 250% is just way too much. I believe I am going to return the printer actually.

    We would only use this printer about 10 to 20 sheets a month, will there be any issues with the printer or toners with low usage, e.g. not printing properly or toners getting clogged up.

    Thank you for your question. You should run into no issues with clogging or drying as this is a laser printer that uses toner, which is a powder, not a liquid-like ink.

    does this printer do edge to edge like the inkjet printers do?  Looking for something that goes all the way to the edge.

    Thank you for your question! The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw does not support borderless printing. Typically Laser printers do not support borderless printing. The best option for borderless is the HP OfficeJet Pro series and Envy series printers.

    Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP Color LaserJet Pro M182nw printer comes with an introductory black toner that will last about 800 pages. Each of the three colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow) will also come with introductory toners that will last about 700 pages each.
