Horrible set up
Printer has great quality so far (after 1 week of ownership), but setup was very frustrating. My old printer simply asked for wifi network password, and I could print. This one required a download of software, then a message saying it was ready, but it wasn't. Then another download of the "HP" fixit doctor or whatever it was called. Then it said it was ready. But it wasn't. Then another diagnostic. After the 4th time or so, it finally worked, but I felt like I was back in 1983. Bizarre. Again, the print quality is fantastic, and we have multiple users on Windows, Mac and Chromebook using it wirelessly. If setup has been as easy as my prior printer, I would have given it 5 stars. Maybe you will have better luck.

Great Printer, Bad set up
I brought this printer for my company after researching and I'm glad I did. It's very quiet and quick when needing to print after being in sleep mode. The only problem I found was the set up to my wifi was a nightmare. It took way too long and then we had to move it closer to catch and then bring it back to my home office. I only went with HP is because my last printer lasted around 12 years and started to make noise. I would say do your research first because if you call the sales desk they never have the same answer to the same exact question. But this was a great buy

Great Laserjet Pro at a great Price Point

High quality printing at an affordable price
We now have 3 of these printers in our small office. The print quality is exceptional and reasonably fast. The wireless feature makes it easy to place in the office without cluttering my desk. The scan feature and the software provided by HP makes it very easy to be productive.

I absolutely love the printer, it took maybe 5 minutes to set up after I took it out the box and plugged it up. I'm not techy so it probably wouldn't have taken as long if I knew what I was doing. It prints pretty quick but it is pretty difficult for me to get it to print on smaller sized paper. It'll go through the printer but wont print anything on it. I wish I knew how to fix that, other than that it is overall an amazing printer!!!

Quality Printer
The printer arrived with little to no instructions, which made me a little nervous. There were a series of images to follow as far as setting it up which were surprising easy. I took the printer out of the box and followed each one, but did have a little issue connecting to the wifi. When I turned the printer on I could tell it was searching to connect but it was not connecting. After searching online for some help I was able to figure out that I needed to press the "WPS" button on my modem. Unfortunately, this took much more time than I was anticipating for set-up, especially since this is not my first smart printer. I have never had to do that for any of my printers/electronics to connect. Once I pressed it connected immediately.It is very easy to print from my mobile device, same as my last printer, which I really enjoy. It has good print quality and does not print too slow. The one thing that I wish it had is a manual feed tray (unless I can`t find it). I use the manual feed tray often to print labels, pictures, etc. I was very surprised that a printer with so many features does not have a manual feed drawer. I guess I`m too "old school" but I do wish it came with a manual of features. I still enjoy reading through those to learn all the features of the equipment.Over all I am happy with this printer, I believe it has many capabilities that I still have not learned, though I will.

HP MFP M182nw Review - Rough Start, Great Resul...
The first thing you`ll notice about the HP Color LaserJet MFP M182nw is it`s size and weight. It is a large printer by comparison to its inkjet cousins. It has a single paper tray compared to my five-year-old Epson workhorse. The trade off of losing the extra paper capacity is the much larger print output from a laser printer versus a conventional ink driven printer.Setting up the MFP M182nw is a chore to be sure. Not including the time it took to get it out of the box and setup on my desk it took over ninety minutes to get the printer connected to my wi-fi network with the ability to print without the use of a USB cable. The process was so frustrating that I considered returning the unit. What I assumed would be an easy plug and print procedure turned into a frustrating experience of downloading applications from the Microsoft Store and downloading installation programs directly from the HP website. Some of the initial setup frustration stems from the simple display on the unit itself. The display works sufficiently well for checking the level of each toner cartridge, but it feels out of date for a printer of this type. This printer isn`t intended for photo printing so it makes sense that the screen isn`t a full color touch display but it would have been nice to have a more intuitive menu system.After making it through the setup process, which took a lot trial and error than I ever expected, the printer has worked extremely well. There is a bit of warm up time from when you press print to when the first page exits the printer but the subsequent pages come out quickly. Print quality in both color and B&W is sharp without any smudging. I didn`t notice any toner on my fingers when touching pages moments after they left the printer.The MFP M182nw is somewhat loud, even when it`s across a room it is noisy. The unit also puts off a decent amount of heat compared to an inkjet printer so if you`re in a small room it may heat up quickly if you`re doing a lot of sustained printing. When not in use, unless you`re using mobile printing a lot it might be a good idea to turn the printer off instead of leaving it in stand-by; it will make a lot of noises that go on for a minute or so.Aside from the setup process of the MFP M182nw this printer has been a pleasure to use. It`s unfortunate that the setup process is so poor because that gave me a negative first impression but my experiences since that point have been fantastic. If HP can make the setting up the MFP M182nw a little more user friendly I think they`ll make high volume printer user very happy indeed.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I wanted to upgrade my current printer with more capacity, functions and wireless printing. This printer reduces the of space needed on my desk.The set-up was a little challenging, as I was not aware the printer had it`s own WiFi. Initially, we were trying to connect on the printer WiFi and not our personal WiFi, so it would not read the printer. We called HP technical support and they were able to tell us the problem and it connection is great with both USB plug-in and wireless. I appreciate the wireless connection and the ability to print from anywhere. I am extremely impressed the speed of print for both black and color and the volume of pages for output. Replacement cartridge prices seem reasonable and when cost compared per page, it is much less than what I`m currently using. Scan, duplex, copy functions are easy to use and are clear to understand. I have not tried the fax function as I do not have a need for that at this time. Glad to have the option if needed.

It is nice for my business
I was able to set my printer up in no time had it connected to all my devices and was able to print from all of them (laptops, phones, computers, and tablets). The instructions were very clear to me had the drivers downloaded and installed in no time, no extra company to download from. The printer comes ready to use right out the box once it is plugged in and connected to the WiFi you are good to print. I really like the fact that I can do a lot of my craft printing on this laser printer. The colors are great and I don`t have to worry about the design washing off because it is laser ink. I love the fact that it prints out pages like magic; I printed a 300 page color and text document and it was done in under a minute. I did the same document with an older HP laserjet, a HP inkjet and another brand industrial laser copier machine. The HP LaserJet MFP M182nw finished first with the industrial machine in close second next came my HP Inkjet and lastly came the older HP laserjet. Warm up time is very fast I honestly think it is still warming up as it starts printing I haven`t seen any significant difference in the printing when it does this so compared to what I use in the laser field the M182 not only finishes first it also starts first. As of the time of this review I haven`t used the manual feed on the back but if that works like I feel it should then yes this is a winner. The only thing I can say is bad about it is that it may be a little heavy for some, I was able to get it out of the box myself and on to my desk but that is me.Overall I love the printer and it helped me out a lot and I was able to do more with it because of the fast printing. I really feel HP should expand their printer game a little more to include other types of inks so small businesses like myself can continue to support the company I know.

Great Affordable Color Printer
I do a moderate amount of printing at home, as I use a printer for both personal things and to help run a home-based online business. It was pretty easy to set up and connect to my lap top and home network.The color and print quality is great. Not the speediest printer I have seen, but for my home business needs it works just fine. The printer size is good for my needs you get a lot of functionality in a relatively small footprint. Although I don`t frequently use the multi-function capability, it can print, copy, scan, and even FAX (although I rarely FAX and don`t even have a landline phone!). Most of what I do is printing, and it does that very well!I`ve had inkjet printers for years, and although they were inexpensive to buy and the printing was decent, I got tired of having to buy new ink cartridges all the time. I haven`t had this one long enough to tell for sure but I think with this HP laser jet the toner will last much longer, and the printing looks better too! Really nice print quality with great colors.It says it can also print wirelessly from a mobile device, and I have not tried that yet (don`t really need to), but that is a great feature if you need it. It also has some built-in security features that I appreciate, because my friend had her home network hacked through her wireless printer, so it makes me feel good that HP is building in encryption and password protection I would not have realized those were needed until recently, but it`s great to have those.I don`t see a lot of downside to this printer, unless you need a larger, more heavy duty machine for heavy business use, and even then, this does pretty much everything most people need at a really affordable price. I`d recommend it for sure.

Assembly - The printer was removed from the shipping box, set up and connected to the internet in less than 15 minutes. It was easy.Printer - The printing is faster response time than the printer that I am replacing. I find that the print quality is excellent. I have printed approximately 586 pages since I received the printer and the cartridges are still showing almost full for color and 75% full for the black cartridge.Scan - One reason this particular model was attractive to me was the scan and copy feature. I did not have either of these features in my previous HP. Once I downloaded the scan app from the Microsoft store, I was scanning within a reasonable amount of time. Please note that it did take me more time to set up but once it was set up I was pleased. It allowed me to set up and connect my One Drive account so it automatically saves to One Drive and allows me to select the correct folder.Copy - This took me more time to discover and actually discovered by accident. I just was not following the manual that came with the printer and have since gone online and have been happy with the support. I like the fact that I can copy up to 99 copies which is more than I will ever need.I have been able to add the HP App to my iPhone and iPad. I do plan on purchasing thru HP the cartridges as I need to replenish. Overall, I give this Laser Jet from HP a 10+.

My overall review of this printer is 4 out of 5 stars.The Good: For a laser printer with all the features it is not that large and does not take up a lot of space. The build feels solid and I expect it to give years of reliable service as has been my experience with most HP laser printers. Printing is very fast and the quality is quite good. The ink is crisp and colors are vibrant. The printer is not too noisy which is nice. The scan quality is very good and the software offers a nice set of options to adjust your scanned documents or photos. Adjusting the paper tray for different sizes of paper is a snap. HP hit a home run with this tray. This printer offers a load of features for the price like wireless printing, scanning, color, mobile printing and duplex. The LCD display and keypad are easy to read and understand.The not so hot: Copy speed was a bit slow, but not unbearable. The. duplex function is a manual duplex, but that was not a huge deal for me as I rarely use that feature. The 2 biggest disappointments are: 1) No Automatic Document Feeder. If you frequently need to scan multiple documents this may be an issue. 2) This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5: You pretty much have to buy genuine HP toner as the printer looks for a chip found on the HP cartridges. I understand the risks in using non OEM cartridges, but the consumer should be able to choose whether to take that risk or not. Seems like HP would have taken note when Keurig rolled out the 2.0 coffee maker that would only work with specific K Cups with the barcode. The only saving grace is that the HP toners are not terribly expensive from the HP site so this would not be a deal breaker for me.Conclusion: Great printer that feels sturdy and produces great printouts at a good speed. This unit offers many useful features and I expect to get years of use from this printer. I would recommend purchasing this printer.

Storage: I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The printer is not too big not too small and not heavy at all. It fits perfectly on my bookshelfAssembly: Very easy setup, connects wireless to my internet in just a few minutes. The instructions were very easy to follow.The printer prints fast and nice color. What I like most about it, is the speed and quality of the print. The instructions how to pint were very easy to understand. I have had similar printers in terms of size, this one seems to be lighter in weight which is good for people that don`t want anything to heavy. I also like its looks, the printer has a look and feel of a professional printer that can be used in an office and that works great for the home as well.

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I run a small business and do much of my work from my home office. I have been searching for a printer that is easy to set-up and that could be accessed from my phone, tablet, and/or laptop. I am happy to report that the HP Color LaserJet MFP M182nw met all of my expectations. The product arrived in perfect shape and the set-up instructions were clear and simple. I had no problems at all. It literally took me under ten minutes to set-up the printer--which is pretty amazing considering that I am not exactly the most technical person out there. The software downloaded quickly and I was ready to print! Both color and black and white copies came out clear and crisp. This is definitely a great printer for personal or business use. My highest recommendation!

Setting up the printer was easy and I had no trouble. The print quality is the best I have used in a Laser Printer. The paper feeder works perfectly with no jams. Scanning is simple and easy to do. It printed perfectly. The software set up was also easy. There is a link that I entered in the browser and clicked continue. From there the wizard detected the printer installed the software and printed a test page. Set up went fast with no problems. I was printing in a very short time after setting it up. The design is very attractive and does not take up a lot of space. It has 2 hand holds on each side for easy moving. Print speed is fast with either color or black and white and prints up to 17 pages per minute. it can print on many sizes of paper, including photo paper. I downloaded the HP App to my phone and am able to print pictures and documents directly from my iPhone. It takes 4 toner cartridges which are easy to get to and replace. They will print on approx. 850 pages and 1050 in black and white. The cartridges included with the printer will print less. Paper goes in a tray on the bottom which slides out and very easy to get to in the front. I have printed many pictures and documents and they come out looking perfect. I am completely satisfied with the HP Color LaserJet MFP M182nw Printer and highly recommend it.

We would only use this printer about 10 to 20 sheets a month, will there be any issues with the printer or toners with low usage, e.g. not printing properly or toners getting clogged up.
Thank you for your question. You should run into no issues with clogging or drying as this is a laser printer that uses toner, which is a powder, not a liquid-like ink.
