Rated 3 out of 5 by Rick Pr from Secondary monitor need DP input to work with this. As a monitor alone it is perfectly fine, but I bought it for the dock. I wanted a second monitor connected to it, but the output from the dock is DisplayPort only. I didn’t think that was a problem because I have adapters to convert DP to HDMI for my other monitor. That setup works fine from my other dock (HP) or direct from my laptop but not from this monitor. I bought a DP to HDMI cable and that didn’t work either. I could only output to one of my monitors that also had a DP input - no conversion. I can’t use that one in this setup though as it is mounted elsewhere. Was just frustrating.

I need a new backplate, and I will go to You Tube for instructions on how to attach the monitor to the stand

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sara J. from Great monitor, doesn't work with Windows 11 The monitor picture is great and the adjustability is fantastic. I would absolutely love it if it worked with Windows 11. I called tech support because my camera won't work, only to find out there are no drivers for Windows 11. All they could tell me was to wait for the drivers. I have no idea if they will ever actual support Windows 11, so I have a nice monitor with major features that don't work. I got a great price for the monitor on Cyber Monday, so it's still worth keeping even without the camera.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous999999998 from USB-C COMPATIBILITY PROBLEMS The monitor itself is fine but I had a terrible experience trying to buy a compatible laptop that could use the USB-C connection for the video signal to come to the monitor. I spent hours trying to figure out if there was any special need other than the laptop having a USB-C port. I ended up buying a brand new HP laptop with a USB-C port but the connection did not work. I could not find anything about this limitation in the monitor's online ad nor in any user manuals or guides I tried to find online. I spent many hours and came up empty, bought the wrong laptop, and had to go thru the whole returns process (including restocking fee, fun!) just because of the misleading and unclear information about the monitor's limitations. I eventually came to learn (through word of mouth only) that what I always needed was a "Thunderbolt" port on the laptop to be able to use the monitor. Based on what I have since learned about the many different flavors of USB-C ports and wires, I will no longer be trusting about buying HP products in general, nor from this seller.

At my home desk, I have maximum height clearance of 18". The base for this monitor seems to be adjustable. Can this monitor be adjusted so total height is no more than 18"?

        Asked by: The Wanderer
Three things. 1st, I'm not sure where Grant is getting his info, but if you click on the blue hyper-link on this page, it will bring you to the spec sheet for this specific monitor which says... "Work comfortably with adjustable tilt, height, and swivel settings. Use pivot rotation to conveniently customize portrait or landscape views on multiple monitors" 2nd, I use this specific monitor at work and adjust the height on it based on whether or not I'm using a bench height or normal height office chair. 3rd, this monitor is excellent and the matte screen makes looking at it for hours at a time very easy on the eyes.

How can I use this monitor with HDMI cable with USB only? I have a new laptop that does not have HDMI high speed cable.

        Asked by: sjkm
Thank you for your question! This HP E24mv G4 FHD Conferencing Monitor has the following ports for video:1 VGA; 1 HDMI 1.4; 1 DisplayPort™ 1.2. It is assumed since the laptop is a new laptop and doesn't have HDMI that the laptop in question has USB-C or Thunderbolt for display. If this is the case, then a USB-C to DisplayPort cable would be recommended for use. Also, check out the USB-C/Thunderbolt compatible displays at this link: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/dlp/usb-c-monitor

Hello, please assure me that the brightness is sufficient for this screen (HP E24mv G4). it only has 250 nits, and for that it seems to me that it is not bright enough. cheers

        Asked by: Hmd2
That would greatly depend on what functions are being performed with the display. 250 nits are typically more than enough for office functions, web browsing, and average working conditions.
