Rated 5 out of 5 by Peter34 from Small and Zippy I bought this about a month ago as I needed an upgrade from my old desktop as well something much smaller. This checks both boxes. Right out of the box it was easy to set up and had all the ports I needed to get going as soon as I plugged it in. The SSD is speedy with basically no lag time from powering on to booting up. During the day it's my work horse for lots of tabs, multiple spreadsheets, and Adobe running all the same time, absolutely no lag at all. I venture into some PC gaming at night and it's been able to handle everything I throw at it with some room to spare. I would buy this 10 out of 10 times again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bbjniles from Huge power, quiet operation, and tiny footprint! It’s been a half decade or so since I owned an HP computer…not because I wasn’t happy with them as a company, but mostly because I worked in an environment where all the computers had to be of like brand. Even so, all three of my monitors are HP and I absolutely love them, two of which have the built in webcams, and one of which serves as a hub. My point being, I’ve been drawn toward what HP is doing, how they are innovative and creating better ways to get work done efficiently, and pleasantly. That said, when I had the chance to pick up the HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC - Wolf Pro Security Edition, I was very, very pleased…and a bit skeptical. As a creative (I work in photography and video editing), I wondered how such a tiny desktop processor would hold up to my previous, large cinderblock sized computers. The conclusion: admirably…and with the size and convenience, this HP offers things a traditional desktop just cannot dream of doing. The HP mini computer came in not such a mini box…I didn’t know it would come with a mouse and keyboard. Everything was well packaged and in perfect condition. And while I’m happy the mouse and keyboard came along for initial set up, they are both pretty basic. Fortunately I have wireless versions of those, so after giving their wired siblings a spin, testing their responsiveness (both good) and construction (both on the light side), I ultimately chose to use my original peripherals. Still, those two things were a bonus…I came for the main course. I’ve included a picture with a standard soda can for reference, but the size is what you would think of if you ever used an external dvd disk drive. Solidly built, with rubber nubs on bottom to prevent slipping, there isn’t much else to this thing besides the power button and inputs, and of those there are plenty. If anything, there seems to be too many display inputs, but if you plan on multiple monitors or mirrored presentations, this is a nice inclusion. There are both types of USB ports as well, a screw to open the processor (I assume), the power brick input (included as well), a headphone jack, and an Ethernet input…that’s all, but that’s plenty. Booting it up is lightening fast, and I upgraded Windows to 11 immediately. There isn’t much to say in terms of functionality, Windows works as it should, and the HP handles it with speed, reliability, and does so almost silently. I did a bit of research about how HP can keep such a tightly housed, powerful computer cool without a noisy fan, and all I can say is there are super smart designers out there that seemingly do the impossible. I’m used to my desktop’s heavy breathing during high processing work, but the HP mini computer handles it like a ninja, silent and invisible. Another thing I absolutely love about this computer is that I can take it with me. At my studio I have a similar set up as at my home office, so having double of my peripherals (a much cheaper solution that having two computers and two sets of softwares) I can move the HP Mini from place to place as I would a laptop. Too, because The HP mini has such a tiny footprint, you can store it anywhere without it looking like a eyesore. Truthfully, my old desktops took up so much space on my workspace I often put them on the floor, where they suck in dust and howl like mad trying to mange the heat under my desk. Not so with the HP. When I first told my son to have a look at it, he couldn’t find it, assuming he was looking for something much larger, even as it was right in front of him, nestled beneath the edge of my monitor. My desktop looks much cleaner and open, leaving more space with which to work and play. The Wolf Pro Security that is built in to the HP saves me another potential headache. I don’t like having to manage and decide on how I’ll handle my internet security, so having Wolf integrated into the system means I have less to worry about straight out of the box, and ever after. The software works seamlessly with Windows, monitoring and assessing risk, and keeping potential attacks at bay. I haven’t had to deal with any malware so far, and I feel safe with Wolf’s cyber security. Because my HP monitors are holding up perfectly after years of use, I anticipate the HP mini computer will become obsolete long before it breaks down physically…but such is the course of most technology. I’m only glad the HP uses quality components so I’m not hindered by shoddy equipment, slowing my workflow and wasting my precious time. Obviously I am a very happy HP user, and this Mini computer is pretty amazing, with big power and possibility, packed in a tiny package. I’ll certainly recommend, and this is only the first of many HP mini computers I plan on owning going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amit22 from Portable Beast !! HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC is a portable but very powerful machine. I have been using it for my personal and office work and am very impressed with this desktop. It also comes with Wolf Pro Security Edition so I don't have to worry about the security at all. Miniature size of the machine is a boon for the office table. Though the machine comes in small size, it has all the important USB, HDMI and Display ports. It also has a RJ45 / Wired LAN connecting option, inbuilt speaker and an audit jack to connect to the wired headsets. I find the speed and performance of the machine is really awesome. It also comes up with a sleek wired keyboard and ergonomically designed wired mouse. You just need to connect with the monitor (thankfully I had an HP monitor) and you are up and running. Configuration is very simple and fast. The good part is, it comes with Windows 10 with an option to upgrade it to Windows 11 which is super easy and looks cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mdauer08 from Really nice desktop I wanted a small personal computer to keep in my home office to handle my everyday computer needs such as online searches, finances and documentation. I was really surprised how small the desktop really was. It doesn't take up much room and there's enough device ports for anything I want to connect to. In the few weeks I have used it, I haven't experiences any lagging or slowness to any of my work. I feel like I have enough storage for the documents I need to keep. My son plans to use this for his school work this upcoming school year. While he's not in college yet, I could see something like this being perfect for a dorm room as it doesn't take up much space. I have my monitor sitting on top of it and it's basically the same size as the monitor base. It does come with a thin keyboard and mouse. Both are wired so I will most likely upgrade those to wireless devices. They work fine and seem adequate for everyday use. I just prefer less wires. I'm really happy with this desktop and can see myself and my family using it for the next few years. I'd recommend this desktop to anyone looking for a desktop computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cavalier85 from small but powerful lightweight, small, portable but crazy fast and powerful. I loved how it came with a keyboard and mouse, so all you need to do it connect to your monitor and off you go. It's great to not have a huge bulky computer system and be able to just toss your computer in your bag for if you need to bring it to the office or elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MicheleAZ from Great little computer! This is a great computer that is very small in size but not in function! It is very easy to set up, basically plug the monitor, keyboard and nouns in and you’re done. It can be easily portable if necessary. It’s fast and powerful and responds well. The wireless stuff works well and is very responsive also. It comes with a keyboard that’s very tactile and I ended up really liking it, as well as a mouse that works well. After all is plugged in, the actual computer setup was very simple. Overall, this is a great computer with a very small footprint that really would fit anywhere! I would highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nika23 from Perfect size with a big punch I have been using my HP Elite mini desktop for the past 2 weeks and This mini pc exceeded my expectations! The miniature size is great for small desks and office spaces but still has the endurance and functions with all capabilities as larger competitors. This pc does not overheat after long hours of use and the eternal fan is fairly quiet. I currently use this pc leisurely as a family computer and the whole family finds it pretty easy to use. I recommend using the keyboard and mouse from the same brand for optimal performance, which it also comes with. I would also highly recommend this pc to anyone who may need to travel often with their pc as the size is perfect to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by susanw75 from Good things come in small packages Good things come in small packages such as this mini desktop. It is very compact and barely takes up any space. It is lightweight and easily transported if need be. It comes with a mouse and a keyboard so all you need is a monitor. Hard to believe something so small can be so powerful. This HP Elite Mini is very fast and handles anything I throw at it. There are plethora of ports which is very convenient. All in all this is a superb choice for home or office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by proj from Powerful and Compact I love how much the HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC can do, especially considering its small size. It comes with a keyboard and a mouse and has a ton of ports that allow for multiple connections. It runs quickly and efficiently with a recent processor. Overall, its lightweight portability and miniature design is why I would specifically recommend this mini desktop PC to anyone in the market for one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Smuss88 from Small and powerful This PC is small. It is smaller than my hand laid out but it packs a punch! Startup time is lightning quick. Loads up any program I have installed almost instantly. I would recommend this PC for workplace applications. Definitely not meant for any type of gaming. I installed rocket league for my kids just to see how well it would preform. It's runs the game smoothly with no lag but the graphics card built in just simply isn't meant for this style PC. Comes with a wired keyboard and mouse which is useless and outdated. Perfect computer for the home office or kitchen area!

Rated 5 out of 5 by nicksitt from Excellent Space Saver! This is by far the smallest quality desktop that I have ever come across. It is less than 7 inches by 7 inches. I have a small office and not a lot of space. My prior desktop sat under my desk, and I had to position my legs around it. However, this is no longer a problem. It fits easily under my monitor and does not crowd my desk. It comes with a wired mouse and keyboard. It has 256 gigabytes of storage which is plenty for my needs. It comes with Windows 10 but allows you to update to Windows 11. So far, it has performed perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by roadtrekker from Powerful mini desktop computer The HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC is a powerful, transportable desktop computer. My computer is very snappy with the Intel Core i7-12700T processor, 16 GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. The Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 wireless card is also quite good with excellent link speeds. This "desktop" is so small with its mini form factor. Just disconnect four cables (power, monitor, wired keyboard, and mouse) and it can be easily transported in a briefcase or laptop bag. When setting up the computer, I found that a speaker is already conveniently installed inside the mini case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Metsrmc3 from HP I purchased the HP elite mini computer. I hooked it up to my television hd port. I was amazed how fast it was on the internet and the graphics were amazing. I will buy a stand alone monitor in the near future. I am very satisfied with the computer and highly recommend it. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by H2ODogz from Extremely high quality build and performance. A++ The HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC (Wolf Pro Security Edition 6B510UA#ABA) is a powerful workhorse in an amazingly small footprint. I measured it as a square of just under 7 inches and a height of 1.25 inches. The front offers three ports and a headphone jack for convenient use and charging of devices, while the rear has an amazing array of connections including 2 display ports, 1 HDMI, an antenna port, ethernet, and 3 USB. The graphics card is an Intel UHD 770, which is a high performer and capable to meet almost any workload, and the processor is an Intel boosted i7 with 12 cores, 20 threads, and up to 4.7 GHz. The SSD hard drive is 256 GB, which is not huge, however with a setup like this you will certainly have external storage devices so an oversized system volume can actually compromise performance. There are two memory slots, but only one is occupied (with a 16 GB chip) so expansion, if needed, is a breeze. For the price, this is an amazing list of features assembled within an extremely space-efficient design. Swapping components is as simple as possible, which is refreshing because it is typically case that components within mini pc are stacked upon each other making it a significant surgery to access anything - upgrading the hard drive or RAM would very realistically require less than 3 minutes. After all this tech-speak, it is a little embarrassing to admit that one of my most favorite features is the keyboard this computer shipped with. I usually bypass factory keyboards and plug in my mechanical one, but this is a seriously good and tactile keyboard that I will be keeping in use. All in all, this is a superb machine that is extremely competitive today - and stands to remain that way for many years to come. This one will NOT let you down.
