Not what it’s cracked up to be
No document feeder, Wi-Fi connectivity issues, just received less than a month ago and doesn’t work as well as my 5 year old machine I tried to replace. Very disappointed.

Not easy setup
The set up is not as easy as you would lead buyers to believe. After initial setup,and printer worked fine, it stopped working and I was on chat for 2 hours with a tech to get it working again. That kept me from giving a five star rating.

I haven't had it very long but it seems to print fine and the scanner is good. It is a little tricky to email from the scanner but I was able to do with help from customer service. It is very good looking!!

OK printer
This Envy 7255e printer is not close in comparison to the Envy 7640 I previously owned. The 7640 lasted 9 years, well beyond its expected life span.I doubt if the 7255 with last half as long. It is not as sturdy as the 7640. The paper tray appears to be very fragile as does not operate as smoothly as that of the 7640. Print quality is very good, tech support and sale reps. Very helpful.

Took over 2&1/2 hours to install. Very frustrating. Had trouble connecting to my wireless network. Don't like paper feeder ( not as easy to load as my old HP printer) Like that it prints both sides.

Unsuccessful downloading of 7255 to the computer.
Thought that I had the 7255 installed on the computer. It printed. But when I tried to print photos, I had several unsuccessful prints. Finally, wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong and discovered that the 7255 was unsuccessful downloading the HP+ out of the box. Have not tried again to download, I don't want to get upset and waste my time again. I will try at a later date!

Lack of Scanning Feeder on Printer.
I am sorry that my printer does not have a feeder to scan documents. It was one of two printers that was recommended to me by an HP rep and I did not ask the right questions about the printer’s scanning capability. Not having an automatic feeder makes scanning documents more difficult and time consuming.

Defective cartridges and frustrating customer service
Printer is east to set up and probably would do a good job if cartridges were not defective. I bought a cartridge replacement that did not print well. Bought another replacement from HP thinking Amazon can be selling fakes. Same poor quality prints. Bought identical printer thinking printer broke. Same problem. Called hp customer service. Hours on the phone with reps in India. Literally 2 days on the phone. Made me run a tone of diagnostics. Used a pack of my paper cleanung brand new printer. One rep said I have to send back printer. Another rep said they will send new cartridges but just 1 replacement… no idea what’s happening right now but not dealing with HP ever again.

Paper jam
I'm having difficulty getting my printer to operate. It says there is a paper jam, but there isn't. When I open the top, there is thin plastic strip, attached on one end, I don't know what it is or what it's for.

Finally, One That Works
Finally, I got an Inspire that worked. I had the devil of a time with my previous Envy. Within days of receiving it, I got messages that my paper was the wrong size. It wasn't; it was standard and worked in our other HP printer. It took too many calls to HP to get resolved. After 1.5 weeks, I asked for another one since this one was clearly defective. I got the new Inspire and notice it had labels the previous one did not have. I believe HP had originally shipped it to someone else who had problems so HP re-wrapped it and sent it to me. My new, replacement Inspire works just fine. I'm trying to submit this review and the Submit button reads, "SUBMIT AS CONFUSED IN MD BY HP." Don't know what that means but do know I'm not confused.

If I still had the box this printer came in I would send it back.
First off the printer prints just fine. I purchased this printer sight un seen and when I got it I was really disappointed with it. It big and ugly, and I can't even use every program on the front of the machine.

So far so good, but set up was not easy one, wish make it more userfriendly,
as I had to have help from HP expert, he was even strugling, took more than one hour to set up over phone and "rescue."

Does this printer send and receive Emails?
It is unclear what is being asked. Please clarify the question and resubmit. Using this printer with the HP Smart App on your mobile device can send and receive emails but the printer by itself cannot receive and send emails. Hopefully, this answers the question.

Hi, I bought this printer 7255e some time ago and noticed when I open the lid or cover that the san light under the glass is always on, flashing Purplish sometime greenish or white light, is this normal ? Also the printing is not always at best, smudging
