Rated 5 out of 5 by Sipseykid from HP - Excellence Personified The speed of the processor in moving about within the software is unlike anything we have experienced. The imagery is sharp and clear and the large screen is a pleasure. The keyboard is positive with a light touch. The new windows operating system will take some time to master but it is a vast improvement. HP’s customer service was very helpful in assisting a refund for software that we mistakenly bought. Overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase as have been with each of the prior HP notebook computers that we have owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jmoskowitz6 from Great home laptop. My wife is happy with the speed and flexibility of this laptop. She uses it mainly to track our finances with Quicken and to manage out finances.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Viktor A from Not impressed with the performance. This is my third Elite laptop and the worst one. Besides big screen nothing stands out. The intenet midule works super slow. Some pages might not be responsive for a while. When i contacted support they said that this is not a laptoo issue but preinstalled software and offered a $99 consultation. I bought a laptop with all standard features inclding internet connection. Why should i pay for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Naples Florida from Terrible port connections and operation While the primary functions of this HP are working correctly, several of the ports on the left side of the case work inconsistently. The HDMI port (#10) worked properly during the first week when I had the laptop, but it doesn't work now. (The LP Monitor to which it is connected still works correctly with another laptop I own.) The USB-C ports #11 and #12 also work well sometimes but not always. Are there loose port connections? Horrible HP quality control!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Headaches in Georgia from Glare Problem with HP Envy Laptop Display This laptop seems to be great buy so far (I've only had it for about 1 month), BUT it has one major problem -- the highly polished glass on the display screen. The two previous laptops that I have owned were equipped with matte glass display screens, so I did not have any experience with the type of display on the HP Envy. The glare from the polished glass screen is BAD. It gives me eye pain and headaches after more than 1 hour of use. I did NOT have this problem with my previous matte glass screen laptops. I have tried HP's suggestions to minimize the glare (use Night Mode display setting, change the angle of ambient room lights, etc.) and while these suggestions are somewhat helpful, they don't completely eliminate the problem. I am going to purchase one or two types of glare-reducing film covers for the screen to see if they can help. In the future, I will pay careful attention to the type of glass on the display screen of any laptop that I might want to purchase (something I failed to do when looking at the specifications for the Envy). I will NEVER again buy a laptop with a polished glass screen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Habababashabadab-7 from Great Lappy Fantastic Lappy so far. Only wish it had a darker color option, but that's not important enough to dissuaded me from a good computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Biz Wiz from Great Quiet & Fast Exactly as expected. Very quiet and fast. Lots of fast ports and the only thing I would recommend is that it is clear that the thunderbolt port can be used by USB C accessories if needed. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by BHughes from Happy with my purchase I am very happy with this computer. It functions as expected and has nice upgrades from my older model. The setup process was the easiest I have experienced and is now similar to setting up a mobile device as all of my files, apps and programs copied from the old computer to the new one. The screen colors are very vibrant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Must be a dummy from Stay away! Buying experience was a NIGHTMARE! Almost 2 hours on the phone selecting and building the computer. The fool that took my order lied to me about delivery time and then screwed the order up. I didn’t notice until it was shipped while reading the components. Spent another couple hours fixing it and ordered another, then fighting about restocking fee. Then, the other took sooooooo long delivering and couldn’t set it up because the serial number didn’t match the product number. Another lack of accuracy on HPs fault. Then they took an additional two and a half weeks holding my $1000 refund! Do not purchase from these imbeciles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from HP Laptops that are built to specifications are a rip off. I have owned 4 HP laptops for over 12 years. The first 2 were great. The last 2 have been a huge disappointment. They are unreliable and I have to hire tech experts to make them work. I could have sent them back but that is a huge hassle. The last 2 HP laptops are 1 1/2 yrs old and 3 months old. They are worthless unless you have at least a $1,000 to make them work after you spent $1,350.00 for the laptops to be custom built by HP. That means that I bought each HP laptop for approximately $2,500.00. That is not a good deal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by different nickname from lousy touchpad This was delivered on Jan 2, 2025. The touchpad operates sporadically. Sometimes it responds to a tap but often it does not. I use a tap on the touchpad to use the computer, thus the touchpad needs to work right each time I tap it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Somebody annoyed by surve from Better in all but one way I loved my 2017 HP Envy laptop, and this new one is even better in all but one way. Faster, of course. A sleeker IR webcam (necessary for facial recognition login). Backlit keyboard (much superior to painted-on letters). Numeric keyboard and well-placed cursor keys. Bright screen with great color. The one feature I miss is a DVD player - HP doesn't offer built-in optical disks any more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sailbad the Sinner from High end laptop Lots of USB ports. Touch screen works well. Only negative so far is 100w power draw. Machine and charger brick running hotter than I expected. Less than one month owned, so time will tell if heating is a real issue and how well the machine holds up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GrandmaGrandpa from Very nice looking and working laptop I really like my new laptop. It is much thinner and sleeker than my last one and with the same screen size. I'm not a fan of the power cord placement that puts USB ports behind the cord that sometimes catches the USB thumb drive that I use there. The keyboard is set up pretty much just like my last HP laptop with the exception of the power button that is no longer separated from the keyboard but is actually integrated into the top row at the end of the function keys - a little strange but so far hasn't caused any issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bravedave777 from Great business laptop, but a little weighty Received product a few days after the date listed during purchase. Installation was a breeze and I was able to easily log into my O365 account and set everything up quickly. I've used HP products for over 25 years, and I've not had an issue with them that I couldn't fix. The screen seems a bit top-heavy; however, I did purchase the 17.3" screen, so...I suppose that comes with the territory. I do like the keyboard feel...it's very easy to type on. So far, the battery life is adequate for my needs. I'll need to test the battery out some more to see if it can handle most of a work-day for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ms. Achte from Laptop and Microsoft The machine is alright and has some cool features but I don't like being FORCED into using Outlook, a gmail account that I clicked "NO" on, and some other things. Microsoft is an extremely INVASIVE creature! Right down to wanting my birthdate? Really?! There is no reason that I can think of why they need that!!!! And I couldn't skip it or proceed setting up without it. I tried half a dozen different dates that it kept rejecting, until I put in my actual date, then I was good to go. If they already knew it then why the ***k were they asking? Not happy about those things at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kim921 from Power Button Next To Delete Button - Makes no sense I believe the unit will perform as I expected - but absolutely hate that the delete button is next to the power button in the middle of the keypad and is small. I will never understand why it is positioned in that location. I may return it since it is so easy to miss the delete and I don't want to deal with that on a daily basis
