Excellent wireless printing device and easy to put together and to use
A perfectly excellent product right out of the box. I have the device on my 5700dn and my MFP 5800f, and just a note, the first one you setup, please be sure you put the plug onto the motherboard in the right orientation. It should only give you one orientation, but I could see how someone with no experience in putting one together could force the small connector cable in with a heavy hand. Once you plug in one connector to the motherboard of the device, you simply plug the device into the USB port of the printer, and everything works perfectly. I got an IP the first time I hooked up the device, and have had zero with the device subsequently. I couldn't be more pleased.

bad printer
I am unable to use the 3100 as the printer is still not working. I have spent hours with support and have not been able to use the printer. Therefore both printer and 3100 are at this time useless to me. The money spent to purchase these items has been money spent unwisely.

No instructions for setup
I have a $900.00 printer that won't hook into the internet, won't print via usb, won't scan, and won't do anything. It's a $900.00 paperweight at this point.

Not up to HP Standards
This is a very complicated product which has very poor instructions. We needed assistance in just getting installed properly and then it only works some of the time.

I was told this will work with Color Enterprise Laserjet MFP 480F even though that is not listed as compatible printer in the list. The website shows a link for other products, but the link does not work.

Regarding my question yesterday, you meant that it would not work with a WPA Enterprise authenticated network. Am I understanding it correctly? Because i had a call with an HP service desk representative and I was told that it is compatible. Thanks

If it doesn't work with the HP MFP 480f, then why does the manual for that printer say this is the adapter to get to print wirelessly? Which one is needed for the 480f if this isn't it?

Once I add this accesory to the HP LaserJet Managed E40040dn, can I join this printer to my corporate wireless network to monitor it? or is just for using WiFi direct?
