I bought online from Hp website. It was a very good sale item along with deal on ink. Free Delivery on time as promised. No fuss easy set up which didn’t take very long. This printer for home use does everything I need (except doesn’t have 2 sided copy ability).

I bought this product one month ago and since then it has been working properly. It does the job really good without any issue at all. The printer guides you through the installation and it is very easy and quick to set it up and have it ready to start printing. I use it for my school work, print and scan. It scans a bunch of paper at the same time and you can also send your work to be printed to the printer's email and get it printed very quick. I do recommend the product.

There is no setting on this printer to default black ink print. It will use the color ink on every print job unless you force to black. HP, that was deliberate.

Oh well
The box arrived damaged. I went back and with the Fillipinos before I gave up and I I successfully fixed the damage to the machine myself. The bottom had been pushed up and was blocking the power chord from being inserted. The call came that I was to get a new machine which I declined, I worked with Apple to set up the new machine. But I cannot find any way to do two sided printing. However I continue to work on the issue.

To many items missing from the package.
I bought this HP Officejet 3830 on March 14th. the package was not opened immediately. I was not able to get to the machine until the end of the month of march. when I set up the Officejet, I never noticed that there was no CD instruction, and no cord to connect my printer to my computer. I was able to get help from Walmart Customer Service help to go online to get the info setup with out the CD. Now I discovered there is no cord. I Love HP Products. But I am not wanting to return the product. I had a Cannon before, and I was very upset with their product. I had returned it 2-times for the machine to work. on the 3rd time I just put it out. I LOVE HP PRODUCTS!

Does this printer print 2-sided?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer does not support automatic two-sided (duplex) printing. However, it does allow for manual duplex printing, where you can print on one side, then reload the paper to print on the other side.
