Skipping lines after just 10 months
I purchased an HP OJ3830 2 years ago, used it for 5 months while wintering in Arizona. Came back this last December 2019 and it was running OK. Then in February 2020 it started to skip every 6th line on a printed page. Tried a new set of #69 cartridges but it still skipped. Rather than learn another printer I purchased a 2nd one. NOY HAPPY!

great service
I called to get help trouble shooting my old HP printer. Tried everything the tech suggested, nothing worked. We decided my printer had just died, and needed to be replaced. Tech told me he had a replacement printer which he could sell to me for %59.95 and tht he would shipat no charge I agreed and printer arrived two days later. Printer fit is opereting very efficiently and exceeded my expectations. Product is very good. Service is outstanding.

Amazingly easy set-up. Fast, quiet production. Our college senior granddaughter prints from her laptop in her room. Excellent color copies. Scanner allows my wife to convert grandma's recipe cards to her computer and thumb drive. Today I printed 25
crisp, clear, copies of financial spreadsheets for our neighborhood association in just a couple minutes. Our family recommends this all-in-one printer from HP.

A good buy.
Have always had luck with HP products. Always my first choice. Printer I replaced lasted 8 years and failed due to printer cartridge jam which I couldn't fix even with support suggestions and would have been more expensive to repair than to replace. Disappointing but happy with replacement unit so far.

Worthless
I bought this a few weeks ago. Spent all day on chat trying to get it to work. My computer in my office is not hooked up to the internet. Did not come with an installation CD. Can't get one they tell me. Trying to save plastic they tell me, but packed in two big hunks of Styrofoam. Won't buy another one.

Loving my new HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer
I have had my new All-In-One for a couple of weeks now, and have been putting it through it's various features. Set-up was a breeze on line, and the menu on the unit is easy to use as well. I have scanned to my computer, printed from the flatbed and the paper feeds, and printed several things from my computer as well. It's much lighter and easier to handle than my old one, and fits so much better on my computer desk. Pictures come out beautifully as well as printed material.

I can't print anything, I think I put the wires in correctly, I put one inthe outlet and the other one to my Optimum box and I hit print and nothing happens

Does this printer print 2-sided?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer does not support automatic two-sided (duplex) printing. However, it does allow for manual duplex printing, where you can print on one side, then reload the paper to print on the other side.
