Nice and Up to Date
I like a lot of the features on this printer. I really like the color home screen on the device itself. It was easy to install and relatively easy to use. It prints pretty quickly. It does, however, sometimes go offline just like my older HP printer does. For this one, I just have to power it off then back on and it goes back online but I can't really understand why this happens at all.

I like it!
This is my second HP all-in-one printer. So far I've only used it for printing, though I have a lot of family documents & photos to scan, which I'm looking forward to using this new printer for. Printing-wise, it's doing great and I'm happy I bought it.

Horrible mistake!
I do NOT like this new printer. It looks cheap and has far more plastic than my last one. It is disgusting that the time always shows 5 hours later than it really is here in Kansas. I asked how to change the time on the printer and could find no response giving me directions. The paper tray does not hold as much paper, nothing to keep it stacked neatly and pushed against the front, AND when you print like 8 pages at one printing, unless you are there to pick each page up as it is printed, the angled stopper does not keep the pages coralled and you wind up with pages flowing to the floor. Needless to say, I wish this purchase had not existed.

So Far So Good
Right now I have been having a very difficult time finding any printers that fit my needs available anywhere and I found this met my needs closer than anything else I could find. I have been an HP PC user fro several tears but this is my first experience with an HP printer. It does a very good job printing but I'm concerned about its long term durability. The construction seems very flimsy compared to the former printers I've used for several years.

Fast Printing & Easy Scanning !
As a Realtor this printer fits my needs. Fast printing and easy scanning documents ! After being skeptical of the instant ink program I signed up for it and have 10 months of free ink; my first ink cartridge shipment just arrived with larger ink capacity than normal larger capacity cartridges. So I saved buying $140 worth of cartridges.

I am disappointed
I purchased this printer though a cash back site and have been denied my cash back by HP. Because I only choose this printer because of the cash back, I will not be buying my laser from HP in the coming weeks.

Product should be good once I receive it. Your delivery takes way to long. When your person say a delivery date that’s the day the delivery starts to leave your facility and NOT my house. I could have gotten the printer for the same price and the same day at Best Buy. Live and learn.....Don’t believe what your told.

Great features which were not expected
Just got this printer 2 days ago. Online setup was problem free even after I realize I still had my HP 3410 connected by USB and yanked the plug out of the power strip. I was expecting a crash of some kind. To my amazement, the setup software continued without a fault.
I had wireless connection problems for nearly 4 months. No one could figure out why all of a sudden my 3410 wouldn't communicate with my computer.and visa versa. Geek Squad spent 5 hours with me online and finally gave up. ATT couldn't figure it out either. They sent a new modem and it still didn't work. Since that model was considered obsolete, I bit the bullet and upgraded to this model and was elated with this printer's performance and features one of which is FAX. ( Do people still FAX documents?? )
Delivery was right on time and the package arrived unscathed. FEDEX took real good care of it.

We got this HP printer as we had another one for about 3 Yrs before. This one is a great looking printer, fits well in the space, has a nice touch-pad and features. To top it all the print quality is one of the best i have seen in inkjets!! Definitely recommend :)

Great for intuitive users!
An HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 printer was purchased to replace the HP OfficeJet Pro 8170 that I have been using for four years. With increasing frequency the 8170 printer stopped working because of something (?) wrong with ink cartridges I obtained from HP Instant Ink. I was able to temporarily run the printer after removing and replacing all four ink cartridges (not new ones). It was impossible for me to contact HP Instant Ink about this annoying problem, so I was forced to replace the whole printer with a new printer. I have been more than satisfied using HP Inkjet printers for 30 years since I bought an HP DeskJet 400 printer, so I did not even consider changing brands. The HP Officejet Pro 8035 seems to be a good choice for replacement of the 8170 printer in that it performs all the same functions, and it is also more attractive in my office setting. I hope it will outlast the four years of service I got from the 8170 printer or the two years of service I got from from its predecessor, which also quit giving service because of an ink cartridge rejection problem. Introduction of this new series of printers would have been a great time to change the LCD pad to a larger size so it would work with a man's size fingers. The tiny LCD pad on recent HP printers is too difficult to use accurately. Surely the size and cost of the 8030 printer series would accommodate a larger LCD pad.
I appreciate the way the new printer installed itself on my wireless network which includes two HP desktop computers. However, the lack of a user's manual is a sore point with me. No manual was included in the box and I cannot find one on any HP website. I need coaching on use of the feeder for copying documents, converting documents to computer files and sending FAX.
I immediately enrolled to get ink cartridges for the 8035 printer from HP Instant Ink. Cancellation of HP Instant Ink service for the old 8170 printer was more difficult but I finally got it done. I hope the new printer will not reject ink cartridges like the two other ones did for the last few months.

Cheap as well as inexpensive printer
HP took every opportunity to lower the costs. The installation instructions are horrible. They do not provide the crucial step in raising the lid nor the steps in installing the ink. They are incorrect in the location of the serial number. Things feel flimsy. But the price is good for the functionality

Works great!
My company had always supplied HP InkJet Color Printers. When I retired a few months ago I needed a printer for home usage. I immediately decided to look at HP Printers because of their incredible reliability. I'm extremely happy with my choice of an HP OFFICEJET PRO 8035. This machine is really fast and it's been extremely dependable.

No Glitches
Just purchased, just set up. Works well. I had to go to you tube to figure out how to install cartridges...that is the only thing that could have been a little clearer in the simple instructions.

Easy set up and very good functional printer.
I bought this because I my old printer stopped working. This was the option offered to me when the tech service customer support tried to help me repair my old printer. Although I am sad my old printer died, which was also an HP Printer, I was provided with excellent customer service support with the purchase of this new one. The print quality is not as good as my last printer but my new printer is still very good for home and small business use. The instant ink program makes this printer a great buy!

Needed: Easier connection

Great printer
I was going to give this printer 4 stars because of the shipping. I made a few calls to HP because of the shipping based on shipping dates . The dates changed four times. The unit arrived within the shipping dates timeframe but it was the date changes & not getting a response. Otherwise it is a great printer.

This Printer is so much better than my previous one!!! It prints better on non-glossy paper when doing pictures than on glossy paper. I love having the window so I can tell when my ink is getting low, instead of having to go to the computer to find out the status of what is going on.

Are there cartridges that are not Instant ink? I bought this printer used, and it is not letting me print even with ink in the cartridge. It says I need to update the billing info, but I don't have the old account information.
Hello. Thanks for your question. We recommend reaching out to the original owner to cancel the HP Instant Ink subscription. Once the subscription is canceled, you can use the HP 910 or 910XL ink cartridges with this HP Officejet Pro 8035e printer.
