Trouble trying to get this up without loosing my documents and photos in the process from my old tow
I’m having a hard time trying to figure how to get it up.
I have an existing hp tower that is old and will not upgrade to windows 11. One problem is I have numerous photographs I don’t want to loose if I do this wrong. The print is do small to understand any directions and just symbols where plugs are. Pretty frustrating

Had mostly everything I needed to replace a 2019 HP Pavillion Elite. Hard to find one that did.
So far so good. Internal optical drive, keyboard, and mouse are rather flimsy. I am using the old ones for the time being. Only time will tell.

Great hardware
My old machine was an all-in-one running Win 10. When I learned that Win 10 would be gradually phased out I felt that I should get a machine running Win 11. This machine has all that I wanted, -an optical drive, plenty of storage, compact, quiet and with more than adequate connectivity. Very happy with the hardware but I dislike Win 11 and I know of nobody that likes it.

Exactly what I needed
I am very happy with my new desktop. Fast with plenty of memory. The windows 11 is a bit different than the previous. I am getting used to it. Buying from their site was super easy and the woman that I spoke with helped me with finding what would work for my needs.

Capable tower-type PC
It seems like a very capable tower-type PC. My only issues are 1) the internal clock is very prone to drift and must be synced each day or it will be off by 1-2 seconds, 2) Windows 11 lacks useful features that were in Windows 10, and 3) the Edge browser is confusing. I realize the last 2 complaints are against Microsoft, not Hey, Peep!.

Not up to modern standards
I am not happy with this desktop for a few reasons. It does not support 2 monitors. It does not have an internal speaker. The tower box is very large.
I am surprised given it is not a low budget or "basic" machine.

PCIe card issues
Newer chipset required for Windows 11 security features seems to have added complexity to PCIe sound cards. 5.1 Surround sound terribly distorted. HP tech support stated they do not provide support for Audio channel. Creative Labs support very responsive, including zip file with reconfigured drivers. Alas compatibility problem persists.

Powerful machine with plenty of space
Overall, I am very impressed with the speed of this machine. My only complaints are:
1). Because there are two drives on this machine, a solid-state drive, and a hard drive, the user should have been asked during configuration where they wanted their data files and documents stored. By default, unfortunately, it was the same drive as the operating system, which was the solid-state drive. It was a very painful and tedious process to relocate/redirect standard file associations like Documents, Pictures and Videos to the hard drive.
2). All of the USB 3.0 ports, i.e., the high-speed USB ports, are in the front, and all of the slower USB 2.0 ports are in the rear. There should've been a couple of each in the front and rear to accommodate such things as external hard drives, thumb drives, etc. It is very awkward for me to have to plug my external hard drives into the front of the machine.
If it were not for those two things, I would give this five stars.

Excellent desktop for home office.
Nice little desktop with plenty of power for everyday tasks. Very quiet. Probably could do some light gaming as well, but not anything that needs a powerful GPU. Only negative is that the CD tray feels very flimsy and since it is sideways, putting in CDs requires gentle pressure to get them snapped in.

Seems to be ok - easy to get up & running - just not very fast. Wish I'd stuck with my first plan and had the operating system on an SSD but the awesome salesperson convinced me that this combination was better (it's not :-) ... it's just ok

Good purchase
This is a great machine. Easiest set-up I've ever experienced. I replaced an HP desktop that was 9 years old and running out of memory. Great price point made it even more worth it. I save so much time now!
