Happy with my choice
I needed to FINALLY move from my (inherited from business) DELL Win7 laptop to a much better Win11 machine. Not needing a laptop, I decided on a mini-desktop as a more cost-effective solution. I also worked for HP Medical (and Agilent) from 1969 to 2005, so my loyalty kicked in.
I am very involved in ham radio - -and have A LOT of peripherals because of this, so I needed lots of USB ports and decent power, not to mention the ability of having a virtual background in ZOOM. This machine has so-far worked well.

Useless PC experience
Lack of internet connectivity from right out of the box. Multiple HP support attempts (troubleshooters, chat, phone, and remote) to remedy WIFI issue failed. Five weeks after purchase, I'm told to pay shipping charges for a software recovery package. Terrible experience and a waste of time.

A good step-up to Windows11
Slim desktop is compact and powerful. Setup was easy. Front USB ports are oriented opposite to usual positions and a little 'tight' but functional. No dvd/cd player. Price and delivery good.

Compact peppy pc.
A compact pc with high speed usb ports in the front and regular usb ports in the back. I was surprised it was quite fast. I don't care for Windows 11 but I have it now setup similar to Windows 10. It's all about the Start Menu. If you need a peppy pc in a small space then this is the one to get. I have it on the floor.

Horrible Customer Service!
Computer has not worked correctly since I took it out of the box. Complained many times and followed what hp wanted me to do. I've reinstalled windows multiple times, Let them remote access my computer and I still continue to have multiple crashes a day. I have asked multiple times for them to replace the computer and I'm still getting the run around.

Nice PC
I needed a slim PC to fit in my desk so it was out of the way, it fits as expected. Performane wise, it boots extremly fast, makes barely any noise because it has one cpu fan, and handles games well with the integrated graphics.
My only issue is that it gets 🔥 🥵 while playing FPS games. When I say hot, I mean could grill a burger on the rear CPU fan vent. I had to take it out of the desk slot that was a perfect fit because it waa much hotter than I was comfortable with. Moving it to a bigger slot helped it vent hot air.
I am considering a low profile GFX card to take the load off the cpu, I hope it will help it run cooler. The PSU is low wattage so I have to get a lower end card, but it should do fine for my basic gaming; playing tf2 at the moment.
I added a 1TB platter HDD and installed Steam using the drive as the install path to keep the SSD storage free.
I wanted the i9 version but it was too expensive for my budget. I also would like a dvd drive because I need it, but I have an external I plug in to one of the many usb ports.
I disabled the built in wifi and went hard-wired but left the BT on for my wireless headphones when I need them.
I am very satisfied with this PC. It was cheaper than a "gaming" rig and works well for my needs.
For those new to computers, you will need to Google "bypass Windows 11 account login". I only run on local accounts, I do not use my MS account.
Hope this information helps you make your decision, I spent days looking at Dell's, did 3 custom builds on Newegg and searched the Inernet up and down. This ended up as the best price for the hardware. -1 Star for heat.

It Does the Job

Lots of USB ports
This Desktop has a number of USB ports, which is the main reason I chose it. My only complaint is that HP is making the power on/off button almost flush with the case, same situation on my wife's laptop. May make it look sleek but a pain for Clutzy fingers trying to turn the machine on.

Quality of my purchase.
Very disappointed with this product. only 1T of storage and no CD hard drive. Had my old computer not run out of storage space I would and should have kept it. The only thing this computer offers is
a little more speed and at a high cost ( lost my cd hard drive and spent in excess of $600.00 to do that. Too bad I missed the deadline to return it.

HP service sucks
A purchased Microsoft office 365 for $20 via HP and the Microsoft outlook is not working properly. I called to get the problem resolved and HP wants $50 plus $19 a month to help me. I can't find the number for Microsoft Office 365. The whole thing sucks.

Slim line and fits on top of the Table Top rather than hiding on the floor.
Surprised after 16 years with an Old Clunky Monster , sitting on the floor and finally
giving up on me . After searching for a reasonably priced replacement. I found this Tower model to be a splendid fit on the Table top and able to hook up without crawling around on the floor. I would Strongly suggest < for those not completely knowledgeable of this stuff, to understand that a Memory capability is Also needed-They sent me the appropriate Plug in for that !

My current computer goes through my audio system by HDMI cable which also provides the sound. Will the 5.1 surround sound feature on this computer work with the same set up or would I need to use the audio out plug on it?
This HP Slim Desktop S01-pF3000t PC does not feature an HDMI-Arc port and will not be compatible. Audio must be used via USB or the 3.5mm audio jack.

is the fan quiet? This is for a quiet area
Hello Dan, and thank you for your question! As fan loudness is primarily a customer preference choice, this forum cannot accurately answer this question. What is acceptable noise to one customer may not be acceptable to others. However, the fan on this is not abnormally loud when compared to other fans on other PCs. Also, to keep the fan level to a lower level, be sure the PC has proper ventilation.
