Easy assembly, lots of cool features
This printer was very easy to assemble, as it comes out of the box almost fully assembled. All I had to do was follow the easy instructions to fill the ink tanks and pop in the printer heads. I was nervous to get ink everywhere when filling the tanks, but the bottles have air-tight nozzles that keep the process clean and they fully drain by themselves. The screen is a touch-screen which makes navigating the menu a lot easier, as well as typing in your wifi password. You are automatically prompted to print an alignment page and then you just scan it! It was pretty quick.The print quality is good and the machine is quieter than my current printer. Start-up & shut-down is also faster than my current printer.I love the idea of not having to change the ink for up to 2 years! What a fantastic concept. The printer i currently have runs out of ink frequently and makes it very hard to rely on.I did download the HP in order to print from my phone. The app has a help section, quick access to the documents/photos on your phone for quick printing and the ability to scan a document and send it to your phone. You can even scan by taking a picture with your phone.Improvements:- The menu is slightly difficult to understand and is not as sensitive or fast as I`d like when touching the icons.- The process of fully "setting up the printer" with the HP website was pretty involved. I had to enter IP addresses, change names, set-up an email account for the printer, etc. There are a lot of cool "mobile" features with this printed, but they do take some time to set up to use.Overall:- This seems like a quality printer with a lot of new mobile/tech features and the idea of an ink tank vs. tiny cartridges is life-changing!

HP Smart Tank Plus 651
The HP smart tank plus 651 is an excellent printer. I previously used the HP Office Jet Pro 8600 for 6 years but wanted to upgrade to a newer more ink efficient printer. The setup was very easy with clear instructions for each step. I was worried about filling the ink tanks but the process was easy and my hands remained ink free throughout. It is a little tricky to get the printer to connect to your smart phone because the WiFi setup you need to select on your phone did not want to populate but eventually it did and then it was a breeze from there. The primo quality is excellent and the scanner is top quality. Overall, I would recommend this printer and I am very happy with my choice in a new printer.

HP Smart Tank Plus 651
Upon recieving this new printer I proceeded to follow the instructions to set up. Straight out of the box the printer is up and running in 10-15 minutes, a perfectly reasonable setup time. The instructions are step by step and easy to follow. My husband was worried that filling the ink tanks with liquid ink would be messy, but each bottle has a special sealed cap so no liquid leaks out. The only complaint I had with setup was using the touch screen to set the date and time. The screen was not as responsive to touch as I had hoped and so it took a little time to get to the right numbers.We easily connected to our home network and downloaded the print software to my phone. I was able to print pictures straight from my phone with ease. The screen on the printer gives information, such as when it is recieving data, printing, scanning etc. As well as printing, this device also scans and copys, both are simple to do and take a few minutes.The printer is small enough to sit on a desk and be unobtrusive. It is clear to see how much ink is left in each resevoir without having to touch the unit. The unit is quiet when printing, and does not interfere with telephone calls or other office work. I am excited to continue to use this product for our home and school needs, and hope that it continues to perform at this top level expected from a quality HP product.

Great printer with a lot of versatility
I really like the versatility of this printer. From scanning/copying/printing, there is a lot of functionality built in. Assembly was very simple. The printer virtually came ready to go right out of the box. Plug it up with one cable, file the ink, remove the tape, and it was ready to go. There was a lot of tape used to hold this thing together, but it saved on assembly time. The ink was simple to fill. I was worried that it would spill, but there wasn`t a drop of ink that didn`t make it to the cartridge (or on the floor). Pros: I love the wireless capability. I printed a couple photos taken from my phone directly to the printer, while also being connected with my laptop. The quality of the photos also came out great. I also scanned docs directly to my computer through my network connection.Issues: The only issue I had was I noticed a slight beeping after filling the ink. After several minutes (about 10) the beeping went away. I googled this issue and results mentioned that it was the ink filling the lines during the initial set up. I have NOT heard this noise since that initial set up.In all, I really like this printer. I can connect with multiple devices, scan documents to my pc, and it does so pretty quickly.

When printers are smarter than you
I was very pleased when using this printer for multiple reasons: Set up: The size of the printer is adequate for what I need it to do. I have a home office and it`s smaller than others I had used previously. The directions were straight forward and I was very pleased when being able to set it up in about 10 minutes. Printing: Printing is easy from both my phone and computer. The quality of the copies is great and I tried printing on Cardstock because some smaller printer struggle when you use thicker paper but it worked well. The copies that I needed to make were good as well. Speed: The printer isn`t as fast as mega printers at office max but i would say it can print larger documents relatively fast and i never had a jam when doing so. Most prints at one time was 45. The only suggestion i have isn`t a necessity but it would be cool to have tap printing where you could place your phone on a receiver and tap whatever photos or documents and have them printed so you don`t have to sort through the pages to find the range.

Home Printer: I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I needed of a new printer so it was perfect timing. It was a plus that it was an HP product since HP is my preferred manufacturer. Shipment and Assembly: Product was packed well. Instruction were easy to follow. Liquid ink bottles are a plus and easy to fill containers in printer with no spillage. Set up: Setting up the printer for wireless capability was easy. I downloaded the app and followed the instruction. Usage: Printing and scanning from the mobile app was very easy. If the printer doesn`t print make sure to check your internet connection. Recommendation: In the short time I`ve had this printer, I would definitely recommend this printer/copier/scanner to anyone looking to purchase a new printer.

Love this printer for creative printing
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. I currently own a printer from another manufacturer that I love, so the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 had a lot to prove to me in order to like it. It has a couple of features that annoy me, but other features that impress me enough that it will replace my old, favorite printer. I am a freelance event planner and mom of small children, so my primary use is printing documents, spreadsheets, invitations, envelopes and photos. Things I liked (or loved):Set up was simple and quick. The setup booklet was perfectlittle words, lots of pictures.The ink goes a long way. Ink is supplied in bottles, not printer specific cartridges. It is easily added to tanks near the front of the printer. Ink levels are always visible. I am looking forward to spending less on printer ink.Operating the printer is intuitive when using the HP app. There are some excellent features built in the app to customize print jobs, especially photos. You can grant the HP app access to other apps like Google Drive, Google Photos, Facebook and Instagram. You can share print projects with others through the app.I love that you can print to the edge of the papergreat for photos and creating invitations. Print outs are crisp and clean. There hasn`t been any stray ink marks on anything I have printed, even when using envelopes or thicker paper. The printer can automatically detect paper sizes. Great for when you are adding pre-trimmed photo paper.Wifi printing will change your world! I have this capability with my old printer, but the HP Smart Tank Plus set up for this feature is so easy versus my other printer. My HP printer is in my basement and we have computers/laptops/mobile phones on various levels of my house that share this one printer. Once you have this feature, you will not want to go without it. Things I did not like:To print double-sided, you must manually flip the paper and command the printer to resume. I do not like to waste paper, and worry I will spend a lot of time babysitting the printer on double-sided print jobs.The paper feed is a flip out tray at the rear of the printer. It`s not easy to use if you store your printer in a cabinet. I personally like trays that you fill and insert in the front of the printer. Also, it is sometimes tough to get the paper/envelope/photo paper aligned in the tray correctly so that you don`t have jams. You have to use the app to have the best experience with this printer and you will probably end up giving the app a lot of permissions. Overall, I am pleased with the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 and it will become my new primary printer. The Wifi printing feature, printing and scanning quality and speed are all comparable to my old printer, but the high capacity ink (i.e. buying ink less often, spending less), printing to a bleed edge and direct access to apps for printing make this printer stand out as something unique. I will be able to accomplish many more tasks, much easier with this printer.

"I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion."Storage: The size of the printer is very nice. It does not take up a lot of space and it very easy to move around. I like the weight of the printer. Assembly: Overall, it was very easy to assemble. The instructions were very clear and it did not take very long to do. Printing and other features: Adding the printer to my laptop was very simple and I had no issues. Set up was very intuitive. The printer is fast! Scanning documents is a breeze and I love the ability to save as a JPG or PNG file. The adf (automatic document feature) works well. The ability to print from a mobile device or table is another great feature. Setting up mobile printing is very easy and the instructions are clear. Improvements: I do wish the printer could print double sided automatically. It is a manual process.I like where the printer tray is located. You are able to see how much paper you have and not have to open a drawer to check. Makes it simple.Favorite feature: You are able to set up an email address that allows you to send documents to the printer to print bonus!! Ink: Filling the ink was extremely easy and having ink that will last up to 2 years is a huge benefit!Having the desktop shortcuts, that you obtain during setup, are very helpful. It makes troubleshooting a breeze. There is also one where you can order ink which will come in handy. I have used other brands of printers and I found this one surpasses them in a few areas. I`ve had connectivity issues with others and I have experienced none with this one. The setup was easy and intuitive.Overall, I am very impressed with this printer. There are so many great features.

HP 650 Printer Review
My new HP Smart Tank Plus 651 printer has added new ease of use to my printing! I love the way the printer was carefully packaged in the box. It was well protected and a small, large print, easy to follow-instruction booklet was included to get started right away!I love the touchscreen display and easy to follow instructions from start to finish. Set-up was especially easy. If you can follow simple directions, this printer is for you! The ink installation was impressive as well. I was able to fill all of the ink tanks with no mess! The black and color ink came in larger (recyclable) bottles that fit beautifully in the tank. I was prepared for a few drops to fall, not a one! Flawless. The printer has a sleek, modern look, and is lightweight. It fits well in my home office space. It beats the look of the heavier, boxy design of my old printer! Also, it provides easy printing via mobile device and from my laptop. Pretty nice design and functionality overall. I couldn`t be happier!

Love this printer !!!
Got the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 about 10 days ago. Was a very easy set up, the instructions made everything go so smoothly. The one thing I might add to the instructions is that the bottles of ink will fill the tanks by gravity. I thought I had to squeeze the bottles, or push down on them. Finally realized that just putting the bottles on the fill nipples and it loads up. The look of the printer is really sleak and professional looking. One of my favorite things is how quiet this printer is. Barely noticable. The color and clarity of the pages is fantastic. I have tried printing everything from basic black and white texts to photos on photo paper. By far the most amazing detail and color I have ever seen from a personal printer. I am hopeful that the estimated "2 years" worth of printing from the bottles of ink that were included with the printer is accurate. I haven`t yet checked the cost of the replacement ink bottles, but if they last 2 years I will be very happy. I have not come up with any negative comments on this printer at this time. It does everything I have asked it to do, and has done so quietly and quickly.

A nice upgrade from my old printer
UNBOXING & SETTING UP: This printer is a nice upgrade from my 10-year-old HP Printer. Upon taking it out of the box, I already liked that it wasn`t too big or heavy. Getting it out of the box was easy, but there are a lot of pieces to remove from the printer. There`s a lot of cardboard inside, so make sure you read the instructions before you completely unpack it to make sure you got all the pieces.Adding the ink is easy. The directions show you exactly what to do. It`s not rocket science.Downloading the drivers from the HP website was easy as well. Again, just follow the directions in the box and on the website. If you`re not familiar with adding a printer to your computer, then you may have to look up how to do that because there aren`t any instructions for doing so.This printing, scanning, and copying works like any other printer, so if you`ve had a home printer before then you should be just fine. COLOR: The color that comes from this printer is phenomenal! I printed a picture that I scanned and the color that came from the Smart Tank was vibrant. WIFI PRINTING: The WiFi printing is pretty cool. It takes a bit to get used to doing it, but once you do it`s awesome. You need to make sure that whatever you`re printing from and the printer are on the same network. Also, once you set up the email account for the printer, you can be wherever and send what you want to print to your printer. Super cool!!SCANNING: I was able to scan from the scanner to the computer with ease. It works just as expected and the scans came out picture-perfect.COPYING: Again, the copying works just as expected and the output is great. FAX: This was the only feature that I didn`t really test out. I don`t have a need for faxing since I can scan to email. Faxing is a bit outdated in my opinion.All-in-all, I think this is a great printer. It suits my needs just fine. The thing I love the best about it is that the ink lasts a long time, so I don`t have to constantly buy ink, especially for color printing. The thing I like the least about it is that it seems a little slow. No slower than any other home printer out there, but I was hoping it would be a little faster than the others. It`s not a real issue, just my personal preference.

HP Smart Tank Plus 650
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. It was relatively easy to set up the printer. I was really nervous about adding the ink into the cartridges because I didn`t want ink dripping out everywhere. The design was well made and there wasn`t any ink dripped anywhere. The instructions were not very descriptive so I was hesitant with each step. I didn`t know if I was supposed to put all the ink in at once or only part of the ink bottle. I wondered if I put too much ink if it would overflow. The whole bottle of ink did fill the printer ink so I didn`t need to worry but a note in the instructions would have been helpful. The printer connected very easily to the WIFI. I also was able to easy send a link to my phone and other computer so I could connect them to the printer. Those both were easy to set up. The printer did make several clicking noises when I was printing and after a few prints it had an error and I needed to re-install the cartridges. It has worked fine since then. After a day of not using it I had a hard time getting it to reconnect to my phone. I had to turn the printer off and restart before it got online and my phone could connect to it. The printer app is very user friendly. I was assuming that since it was a smart printer I could voice activate it to print a document but I don`t see any functions to do that. It is really nice that I don`t have to connect it to my computer or phone to be able to print.

Fast easy printing
This efficient piece of machinery can do it all. Print, copy and scan. No matter the print job you can handle it with this printer. I needed to print high quality digital paper and it translated perfectly what was on my screen to the paper. The set up was done with no issues and the app is simple and easy to do.

651 has had little use. Printing is terribly slow. Prints 1/2 of page, then pauses for up to a minute to finish the page. Is there any hope? If printer has been discontinued is there any warranty?

Does the 651 HP does auto feed multiple pages for copying and scanning or do you have to get a different model?
