    Rated 5 out of 5 by Marine57s from Compatible with Pavilion 16 and charges laptop I left a review on a HP Thunderbolt 120W Dock G4 saying is was compatible with my Pavilion 16 which was wrong. I returned that for the USB-C Dock G5 which is actually the dock I ended up buying because it is truly compatible with the Pavilion 16. Charges the laptop, has all the ports I need to keep a clean desktop and connect to the Samsung TV I use for a monitor. It may be more expensive than other docking stations but they wouldn't do everything I needed. The only thing I that's comparable is the similar IBM ThinkPad dock which is around the same price.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by JonaW from It's fine but glitchy. These don't seem to be very stable. I have them in my office and my third monitor has never worked properly with it. I've had others that just fail to connect to a laptop until we've rebooted the laptop 3+ times. The 1 year warranty is pretty limiting when you have issues like this.

I replaced a desktop PC that I built in 2010 because it would not support Windows 11. I went with a laptop to have with me when I travel and wanted to continue using my dual displays and wired network connection and sound system in my home office. This was very easy to install, update and configure and has all the features I needed.

    Thank you for your question! The HP USB-C Dock G5 will not be compatible with the 15-dw2072cl. The Host PC must feature at minimum a USB-C port with PowerDelivery and DisplayPort capabilities. Unfortunately, the 15-dw2072cl does not have a USB-C port capable of these requirements.

The speed of the connection will be at Thunderbolt 3 speed.

The provided power supply may still be needed to provide charging if you don't have the correct USB-C port for power delivery. The support of two 4K monitors is dependent upon the Graphics Card of the laptop. If the laptop can support it then this dock will support it.

    I have a HP Notebook 15-dy1079ms and I cannot get external monitors to work using the dock with HDMI or Display Port. The manual says to download drivers but the website doesn't have drivers. Looking for solutions to allow monitors to work with dock.
