Compatible with Pavilion 16 and charges laptop
I left a review on a HP Thunderbolt 120W Dock G4 saying is was compatible with my Pavilion 16 which was wrong. I returned that for the USB-C Dock G5 which is actually the dock I ended up buying because it is truly compatible with the Pavilion 16. Charges the laptop, has all the ports I need to keep a clean desktop and connect to the Samsung TV I use for a monitor. It may be more expensive than other docking stations but they wouldn't do everything I needed. The only thing I that's comparable is the similar IBM ThinkPad dock which is around the same price.

It's fine but glitchy.
These don't seem to be very stable. I have them in my office and my third monitor has never worked properly with it. I've had others that just fail to connect to a laptop until we've rebooted the laptop 3+ times. The 1 year warranty is pretty limiting when you have issues like this.

Great docking station, all the features I need and works flawlessly so far.
I replaced a desktop PC that I built in 2010 because it would not support Windows 11. I went with a laptop to have with me when I travel and wanted to continue using my dual displays and wired network connection and sound system in my home office. This was very easy to install, update and configure and has all the features I needed.

The HP USB-C Dock G5 is amazing. I'm able to plug all my accessories (2 external drives, 1 exterior monitor, my ethernet cable, and my iPhone) to support my HP laptop computer. Makes working on my laptop a breeze. I would definitely recommend this Dock.

Can I use this for Multiple computers, I have a work and personal Laptops and I would like to be able to switch between the 2.
As long as the computers have a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt and power delivery, then it would be fine to switch the USB-C from the USB-C Dock G5 (5TW10AA) to multiple devices. Thank you for your question.

Typically HP Docks are plug-and-play if the HP laptop it is being used with is compatible. The minimum requirements are a laptop with at least a USB-C port with DisplayPort and PowerDelivery capabilities. If your laptop does not meet these requirements it will not be compatible. can i connect a second monitor via the USB-C port using a USB-C Hub and if so, Do I need to connect power to the monitor?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP USB-C Dock G5 does feature a USB-C port on the front, but it is primarily designed for data transfer and power output (up to 15W). It doesn't support video output, which means you wouldn't be able to connect a second monitor using that port. To add a second monitor, you'll need to use the dock's HDMI or DisplayPort options instead.
