HP Docking station for my HP laptop
I bought the HP docking station so that I could connect a company laptop to two 4K curved monitors and a keyboard and mouse plugged into an 4K KVM switch box and it works perfectly.

The dock has worked well since I got it. I use two monitors, a wired keyboard & mouse, and a scanner. The only issue has been it doesn't power my laptop so I have to plug the laptop and the dock into outlets at the same time.

Constantly Disconnects
Like every dock, this one also frequently disconnects and leaves you in a state of limbo where you must fully restart your laptop to get your monitors to work again.

Convenient, sleek, compact and well-equipped with ports, the HP USB-C Dock G5 is a great dock for port-poor laptops and multi-device desk setups for any professional. It's not the cheapest dock out there, but still more affordable than some similarly decked docks, so will be a good pro option for both PC and Mac users.

Charging and port replication are supported on notebooks that have implemented USB-C™ industry specifications. Power button to turn on or wake the system, Wake-on LAN from warm and cold dock, Wake-on LAN from S4/S5, and MAC Address Pass-Through S0, S3, S4, S5 warm and cold

Thank you for your question! No, this HP USB-C Dock G5 for business has 2 DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI port for external displays. A DisplayPort or HDMI to USB-C cable/adapter can be used, however. The USB-C port on the front does not have DisplayPort capabilities and will not be compatible.

Thank you for your question! The HP USB-C Dock G5 will support up to two external displays. 4K displays require a DP 1.4 machine with DSC** in high res mode. The DSC-supported version and color format depends on GFX capability. DSC is disabled when the display is attached to the VGA port or to an external DP2 VGA dongle.
