Compatible with Pavilion 16 and charges laptop
I left a review on a HP Thunderbolt 120W Dock G4 saying is was compatible with my Pavilion 16 which was wrong. I returned that for the USB-C Dock G5 which is actually the dock I ended up buying because it is truly compatible with the Pavilion 16. Charges the laptop, has all the ports I need to keep a clean desktop and connect to the Samsung TV I use for a monitor. It may be more expensive than other docking stations but they wouldn't do everything I needed. The only thing I that's comparable is the similar IBM ThinkPad dock which is around the same price.

It's fine but glitchy.
These don't seem to be very stable. I have them in my office and my third monitor has never worked properly with it. I've had others that just fail to connect to a laptop until we've rebooted the laptop 3+ times. The 1 year warranty is pretty limiting when you have issues like this.

Great docking station, all the features I need and works flawlessly so far.
I replaced a desktop PC that I built in 2010 because it would not support Windows 11. I went with a laptop to have with me when I travel and wanted to continue using my dual displays and wired network connection and sound system in my home office. This was very easy to install, update and configure and has all the features I needed.

The HP USB-C Dock G5 is amazing. I'm able to plug all my accessories (2 external drives, 1 exterior monitor, my ethernet cable, and my iPhone) to support my HP laptop computer. Makes working on my laptop a breeze. I would definitely recommend this Dock.

Hi Grant, Thank you for being so responsive. I am hoping that the HP Laptop -15t-dw300 is compatible with this dock. If not, Is there a dock that HP offers that is compatible? I am trying to connect 2 monitors with displayport.
You are most welcome! Unfortunately, from the specifications, I see on the 15t-dw300 that has a SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate. That USB-C port will not allow for display out via that port. That HP Laptop will not be compatible with an HP Dock for multiple displays.

Laptops must be able to support USB-C™ power, video, data, and/or Thunderbolt™ industry standards. If there is a symbol of a lightning bolt (Thunderbolt 3) next to the USB-C port, then you can use this port to charge and transfer a video signal. This port supports Display Port alt-mode.

I have a HP Notebook 15-dy1071wm and bought this HP USB-C Dock G5 station but when I connect c cable to computer to configure multiple displays, it doesnt recognize monitors connected to docking station as if they are not there.

My HP USB-C Dock G5 isn’t working. It’s plugged in and there’s no power light illumination and no power to anything that is plugged into it. I have tried with two separate power supplies that are of the correct type with no result.

Does it work with 5CG15177XM laptop? By using this docking station will I have two external HDMI monitors available on this laptop?
The 5CG15177XM is not a recognized US product in the HP US Product Database. If your laptop has a USB-C port with DisplayPort and PowerDeliver or a Thunderbolt port, then this Dock will be compatible. This Dock only has one HDMI port. However, an HDMI to DisplayPort cable or adapter can be used for compatibility with two monitors.

Hi, This dock isn't working with my zbook studio x360 G5, product ref, 5ce52pa (nz version). According to the hp compatibility list for the nz version, this is supposed to work. However the dock blinks when it plugged in. Any dock recommendations?

When I connect my victus 6H6Z9UA#ABA I am having 2 issues. 1 it doesn't always detect the monitors and I have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times in order for it to find them 2 it says the power supply isn't compatible with my laptop
