Don't buy it.
Didn't work properly. Wouldn't always connect. Had trouble waking up the laptop and monitor with it. It's weird because at work, the one I have is perfect. But my personal laptop seemed to hate it.

Will this docking station work flawlessly with an Apple Mac computer?
For USB-C® alt mode functionality, the host PC must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C® or Thunderbolt™ port. Charging and port replication are supported on notebooks that have implemented USB-C® Alt Mode industry specifications. The power button to turn on or wake the system only functions on HP or HP-supported notebooks. PXE Boot functionality will depend on whether the host system firmware has the EFI driver available. This dock does not support Wake-On-LAN functionality nor MAC Address Pass Through. Connected firmware updates will require the end user to sit through the firmware update process until completed. HP does not provide ethernet and audio drivers on Mac PCs. Not all features work on all OS's or all HP or Non-HP devices.

Hi, the answer to this question: "Can I have a hdmi monitor and a usb monitor connected to this", wasn't absolutely clear to me. Can I connect through the adaptor a USB-C Monitor and a HDMI monitor at the same time? Does the USB-C also transmit video?
This USB-C Hub features a DisplayPort and an HDMI port out. Not a USB-C video out. However, an additional DisplayPort to USB-C cable can be used to make the DisplayPort compatible with a USB-C monitor.

Hub not working. I checked my driver and it is current. Monitor flickers on and off. I restarted my computer and it worked for about 5 minutes.

Will this hub allow me to connect 2 monitors and use the extend feature for the HP EliteBook 840 G3? There is NOT the lightning bolt symbol next to the USB-C port. I'm fine if that port doesn't charge, but I do think I'll need it to transfer video.

Without having the model number or access to the build information it is impossible for this forum to be certain that the USB-C on your EliteBook will be compatible with DisplayPort. Unfortunately, not all USB-C ports are created equal. However, please contact HP Support and they should be able to tell you the port information on your PC. Also, if the port has a D next to it then it will be DisplayPort compatible and you will be good to go but probably without the charging.

The dock does not display two 1440p monitors on my Elitebook 840 G8 however it does on my Elitebook 640 G9. Is there a setting to adjust on the 840 or is the computer not capable?

I cannot get both external monitors to work through the hub. I have them set up with an older HP docking station and they worked fine. Monitor 1: connected via display port to display port on docking station; Monitor 2: (not working) display port to HDMI.
