Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Decent hardware but has issues with Windows 11. Decent hardware but crippled by Windows 11. We have issues with both of the laptops ordered related to poor or spotty performance caused by the operating system. The users on these laptops complain about issues with random system freezes / high CPU and unresponsiveness. Same hardware with Windows 10 is not displaying these issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by treyus30 from HP steps on their own toes One thing has never changed with HP PCs over the years, independent of price range. It doesn't matter if it's a $300 hollow tower, or this $2500 professional notebook, you can always count on too much bloatware. I knew this going in, but what I didn't expect is for it to make the laptop actually unusable. The first red flag with this machine was when it would not boot at all when it first came out of the box. Power button lit but nothing happened on the screen for a solid 10 mins of holding the button for extended periods of time with and without the power adapter plugged in. After that, nothing but issues. Long story short, after around 20 hours of debugging constant and unexplained lag and graphical hanging, leading up to a non-boot scenaio, restoring the HP factory image, and no changes, I decided to install a fresh copy of Windows 11 from Microsoft themselves. This thankfully fixed nearly everything. I believe their "Wolf Security" is a large offender in this. There is still some perceived issues with graphical performance I believe is caused by some poor optimization between the integrated and dedicated video drivers (Intel and NVIDIA). This is fully the responsibility of HP to fix, but I'm not holding my breath. HP also refused to consider a return until I went through their customer service tech support, which would have been an even greater waste of time, given the debugging already performed. Buyer beware. Find a retailer with a no-nonsense return policy if you can. Performance itself is great and what you'd expect from high end hardware, but any manufacturer can bundle off the shelf hardware. HP seems to have done a terrible job putting the pieces together on this one. Built in microphones are also terrible for conference calls being on the inside of the lid instead of front facing, and I had a bit of an issue connecting to a Lenovo Thunderbolt dock (ethernet did not work through it for a week, then it randomly did even though no driver update happened). Finally, there is no fan or performance control software from HP, perhaps the single piece of software that would have actually been helpful for them to offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carl M from Wow! Seriously fast! Built well. This laptop runs like you would want a computer to run. It’s very fast, no waiting on things to load. Its fingerprint scanner is great. The laptop is built very well and should hold up well with daily transportation. I’m completely in love with this thing. Best laptop I’ve ever owned!

Never again. Unfortunately, I am not being allow to say what I want to as my remarks are being heavily c-e-n-s-o-r-e-d.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ENGraphted from Good laptop Great value (Cyber Monday). Similar feel (possibly too similar) to my original ZBook (G0), although the G10 is lighter, quieter, thinner, and all solid state. Unlike the older ZBook, fingerprint reader works seamlessly now. Fast and powerful enough for 3D AutoCAD work. Qualms: 1. No lights to indicate the state of the laptop (on but screen timed out, sleep/hibernated, off but charging, etc.) 2. Way too much HP bloatware. It will be nice to have documentation detailing clearly what each of the HP packages is for, to help decide what to keep instead of just delete. 3. Regarding the lighted keyboard, it will be so much more effective if the letters will be translucent so that light shows through the letters instead of around the keys. 4. No built in card reader.
