Misleading, maybe only professionals are suppose to use it, it moved nothing.
Turns out that it was not easy to sign on for both computers and the transfer did nothing, no files were transferred even though there was a message that said it had occurred and no photos were transferred which was the biggest reason for buying this product. I would not recommend this product to anyone. It may work for some but not all and would have been more productive to download everything to a thumb drive/

The lady that I purchased from was very nice but from what she told me I thought the Laplink was just plug in from old to new computer & it would do the rest. Not what happened. 11 is SOO different from 10 that I could not find many of the items I needed to do the link. Like how to Unlink OneDrive. So the first problem was it loaded up & messed up the rest of the downloads.
There needs to be a section for those of us 'dummies' that don't use all the fancy features, to shut them off but be able to bring them back when we figure out if we need them.
I do love the size & weight but keyboard is kind of cheesy & noisy. It also needs lots more USB ports for all the old fashioned plug-ins (I don't like bluetooth & Wi-Fi). A CD slot would also be nice so that I could move items not done by Laplink.
Realize not everyone is computer savoy (I'm 77 & still an armature after years of computer use)

can't plug cable into the new computer
my PC mover came with the high speed cable for faster moving only problem is the new computer doesn't have a slot for that kind of cable.

Does what it's supposed to do
This is the second time I've used PCmover. It did just what it was supposed to do both times. At first I thought maybe some files were missing, but they're just in different places. That likely has more to do with Windows 11 than with PCmover. I did notice that some older sent emails didn't show up, but I'll find them before I wipe the old PC. All in all, SO much easier than the way we did this 40 years ago!

Data transfer easy with LapLink
The data transfer worked very well...it just took 15 hours to complete. The agent that guided me through the process was extremely patient and knowledgeable.

I found very hard to figure out how to transfer. I did call the service and they were helpful. It however took hours to download the software on both computers and then wireless transfer,
The new laptops do not have an eathernet plug in port.

HP sucks - overcharged for incorrect product
Useless purchase - disgusted with Hp. I bought this product from Hp directly at the time I purchased my new HP laptop to replace my old HP laptop. Neither laptop has an Ethernet connection. Yet, HP sent me this kit with an Ethernet cable not USB. Horrible.

Not bad for transferring.
I did get things moved that eased some pain. Going from Windows 10 to Windows 11 somethings didn't work after the transfer. Probably a lot of the issue is I load software to "try it out" but then don't really use it. I have a lot of clean up that I could do but don't know if I will affect working programs. The software first configured to transfer things wirelessly. It was VERY SLOW. Directions are not easy to follow as to how to do exactly what you want. There was a lot of trial and error and redo's on my part.

Works as advertised. One issue the câbler they shipped was the old telephone type? Hive high speed internet so not an issue.

how long does it take to complete transfer
The amount of time it takes will vary depending on the type of cable you are using, the speed of the drives in the units you are trying to swap the data between, and what type of files, apps, data you are swapping. There is not a way to give an idea of how long it will take without actually starting the process.
