Total waste of money
The program was useless. A total waste of money. Everything transferred on its own without the program. Then the erase program would not work at all and the "24/7" help was just an email that no one ever answered.

Crashed my new computer! Stay away.
Crashed my new computer! I used it as recommended and my new computer crashed and could not be revived by HP tech. Had to get a replacement! Stay away from PCmover and Don't disable your security!!

Transferred everything except for several Canon photography apps without any problem. It took about 4.5 hours via Wi-Fi. New PC looks just like the old one.

Better than geek squad
I'll use Laplink again! I didn't need to travel or have anyone in my house. Simply followed the instructions (provided by their chat help - not good at reading users manuals). The transfer was fast (needed ethernet to USB adapter); plus it came with a safe erase program for the old computer. I had a devil of a time entering my serial number because I mistook a I for and 1 (one). Other than that, love this company!

It Worked!!!
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get all my programs, data, pictures, you name it, from one laptop to another. The Laplink staff was friendly and helpful. telling me how to not move my recovery partition to my new pc. It took a while, but not as long as I feared. great product and great people

Great product, but needs to have more options
Great product, but I needed a different cable to do the file transfer so I had to do it over the network and I believe it was quite a bit slower that way. If it had included a USB-C to USB-C I believe it would have been faster.
Other than that I’m happy with it, it did a great job.

Almost confirms hype.
I used Laplink many years ago and found this PC Mover both user-friendly and efficient, though disappointing in its thoroughness.
However, I would buy and use it, again, knowing its few deficiencies.

Not as easy as advertised
Spent the extra and got the Ultimate verson. Still ended up calling the company. Found out the disc is pretty much useless. Save your money and get the least expensive version. Results are the same. Also found out it didn't move all the files or photos. It also requires two monitors. Had a hard time understanding that one.
Had used PCMover many years ago and did not have a single problem or question. And it didn't need two monitors.
Don't know if it was the system or the rep that required two of them.

Established and sustained level of performance
After more than six weeks I remain very pleased with the computer performance. My only nitnoy complaint is with the intrusive HP advertisements and recommendations. Having said that I continue to recommend this all in one. I am pleased with the sale help and the operating system. Also, a thumbs up for the recommendation to use "PC Mover".

I was very pleased with how easy it was to move my files from my old computer to the new one. Tech support helped me and stayed on the phone with me until the process was transferring my files. It took less than 2.5 hours to transfer all my files and applications between the computers using the ethernet cord provided.

Has to be a better way.
The directions were confusing and had to contact support twice to begin to understand. In the end after the transfer my computer needed fixed by a tech. If you are a regular person who doesn't want to lose your things, either take the towers (new and old) to a computer repair store, or what I should of done is sent my information and things I wanted to keep to flash drives. I won't ever do this myself again.

got a new HP PC for Christmas, ordered PCMover from HP online
needed the offered online help to set up and start the program
about 25 hours later - all of my old HP programs were moved to the new HP PC
and all most every program is working correctly
I did re-install office 365 and paper port

It works mostly like advertised.
I bought this to transfer my files from a Vista HP to a Windows 10 HP. It installed on both computers without a hitch. My HP has a smaller SSD than my old HP so things got interesting during the transfer. I was having to map some things from my old C:\ drive to my new D:\ drives. It will do it, but it doesn't work exactly like the instructions. I did get all my files transferred and everything seems to be in working order, but it did not erase the data from my old computer. I will have to do something about that when I officially retire that machine, but all my personal data is still there.

how long does it take to complete transfer
The amount of time it takes will vary depending on the type of cable you are using, the speed of the drives in the units you are trying to swap the data between, and what type of files, apps, data you are swapping. There is not a way to give an idea of how long it will take without actually starting the process.
