Beware
So far not a great experience. HP sent my brand new desktop with a faulty power cord. After being on the phone with customer service for 45 minutes the said they would send me a free power cord for my inconvenience . Really??!! Free??!! For my inconvenience??!!

HP Product Review
I have been useing HP Products (computers, printers and now PC Mover) for almost 20 years and I am very happy with their performance. PC Mover was latest purchase and it allowed me to move my files from one 12 year old HP computer (Windows 10 system) to newer HP computer Windows 10 system. By following directions provided all my information was transferred. Needed a little rearranging when completed but I was happy all information was transferred.

Does what it claims to do
This product does what it claims to do and does it quickly. Very simple instructions and their support is fantastic.Should be recommended to every new PC purchaser. When I had a problem they allowed me to have a "redo" without charging for it. Impressive!

Waste of Money
this software had to be installed on both new and old computers. With serial number and model number, HP knew the new one did not have a CD Rom, so to use this, I had to buy a free standing CD Rom, MORE $$$, to use. The old computer had Windows 7, which died before I could hook up and use, but I had already opened the sleeve and could not return it. POOR CHOICE on my part.

Disappointed with the Laplink PC Mover.
I am the pastor of Church and I had Hundreds of my sermons recorded on a sony digital Recorder and others recorded on an Olympus digital recorder. The Laplink PC Mover transferred the titles and dates of these sermons, but there is absolutely no audio to be heard. I can still hear them on my old computer, but they don't play on my new laptop. I am trying to find a way to get the audio back.

waste of time and money
it toke nearly two days to move my files and apps. some of them would not work, I was so happy that I destroyed the cd and the cable and threw them in the garbage.
it was not worth the money and time that I wasted.
p.s. , I did not buy an HP computer , not a nice Dell.

HP ENVY 795-0050 Incompatibe with LapLink
We bought Laplink to transfer our Lenovo E20 Windows 7 workstation to a HP ENVY 795-0050. Because of the ENVY’s small C drive Laplink’s default transfer failed due to insufficient storage on the drive. Then, needed to go to Laplink’s advance mode to move programs only to the C drive and documents to the ENVY’s 2 TB D drive. The result, duplicate files on the C and D drives. Now we are facing the need to reinstall Windows on the C drive, reformat the D drive, and run Laplink for a third time to get a clean transfer. Life would be a lot simpler if the ENVY 795-0050 was configured with a 1 TB C drive.
Also, Laplink ships with essentially no supporting documentation to guide the user, resulting in trial and error efforts to transfer data from one machine to another.

how long does it take to complete transfer
The amount of time it takes will vary depending on the type of cable you are using, the speed of the drives in the units you are trying to swap the data between, and what type of files, apps, data you are swapping. There is not a way to give an idea of how long it will take without actually starting the process.
