HP OMEN gaming pc missing 10-key numpad
We have purchased 2 Dell gaming PC’s and one HP OMEN gaming pc over the past years. Both of the Dell pc’s the mother board failed. The HP has performed flawlessly. We purchased the newer Omen 17t-ck200 17.3. IT DID NOT have a 10-key num pad keyboard— we had to return it.

Not plug and play with monitor screen
Everything seems to work fine, except it does not plug into the TV screen. Bravia 100inches receives my Hp Envy just fine, but with Omen, I tried everything so far. CHangin refresh rate, resolution, turn on off, all HDMI's on TV, nothing works. It gives a black screen on TV, and sometimes it goes black screen on Omen till I unplug HDMI, tried 3 HDMI cables, which work fine with my envy. What is my next step? No one that tried that is savvy with computers and monitor screens has any luck. Am I to have to send it back?

Hp omen 17 4060
Bought hp omen 17 with i7 13700hx and rtx 4060. Everything arrived perfectly. I'm still testing the unit, so far so good. Excellent build quality, nice and big screen, nice temps.
Will keep posting after some more use.

Missing NUMBER keypad
I was unhappy to find that a business computer did NOT have the standard NUMBER (Calculator) keypad. I never thought to look at the keyboard layout prior to placing the order.

Great computer, good value
Bought this computer for my son. He is a gamer and an engineering student and this machine checks all of the needed boxes. He is very happy with the performance and states it rivals his gaming desktop….which is a beast. It is heavy and the power adapter is a brick….totally understandable given the required hardware components inside. I think this computer is a solid value.

So far so good! Was Skeptical about a 2.1 ghz processor but the turbo kicks in a lot and it can get up to 4.5 avg. I'm happy 😊

Very nice gaming laptop
Really happy with this Omen so far, this is my third HP and second Omen. Very fast, it runs several apps and Microsoft Flight Simulator and other games at the same time with ease (though I am more of a casual gamer, not hard-core). One minor complaint is that I don't like having to hit the FN button to enable the speaker volume, brightness etc... on the top row Function buttons, my last one was not like that (may be changeable in config though, haven't checked yet). I use a laptop cooling fan underneath it due to the heat, which of course is more than a non-gaming laptop. Still don't know why HP puts the Intel/Nvidia and other stickers on the side where the mouse is used, I have to take them off, they could be placed elsewhere. The B&O speakers are pretty good for a laptop and much better than my last Omen. If you use a number pad on the right, note that it was eliminated on this model for gaming arrows. Overall I have had great experiences with HP laptops and hope to with this one.

Be aware short battery life
Overall a very nice looking laptop, but very poor battery life. Had I known beforehand I would have purchased another model or a desktop.

Doing OK so far...
Just got my Omen. Downloaded some new CAD software and will be working with it in the next few weeks. My computer started up just fine and runs everything I've tried without a problem.

Great, but.
It's great except it doesn't have a numeric keypad and there is room for it... Also, there's no key to disable the webcam like on my Envy. Also, the finish is not nearly as nice as the Envy, either...

Beware ordering on-line
Did not know it was a gaming laptop. No number keypad and the keyboard backlight colors are distracting.

Nice Hardware
I'm liking the Omen hardware. The quality of design and construction is evident. The 12800HX meets, or exceeds, expectations. Samsung RAM and Micron SSD also deliver. Overall, a good value.
The software however, is not so great. This Windows 11 installation has serious problems with sleep - that's just a kiss of death for a laptop. The Omen software is valuable, but parts of it (lighting) require admin privilege - just not acceptable security to always run as admin. The Realtek audio sounds pretty good and has good headphones output. But, unlike other Realtek drivers, the equalizer is disabled for headphones output - just where you need it. C'mon, guys...

The good the bad and the ugly
It's a great laptop. The graphics on my games are nice. But for a game like runescape...its over heating. I had to downgrade my game graphics for a 21 year old game because of overheating. The laptop runs it smoothly but at top graphics it overheats very very badly. It would of been nice if you had included a fingerprint reader and cd drive.
I feel like I am overpaying just for the Nvidia graphic card. Not dissing the power of the laptop itself. It's great. But it's lacking some decent things like a good fan.

The new HP omen is a cheap looking machine
I purchased an omen in 2017 which I was very happy with. After tens of thousands of hours of use the video card had failed which is part of the motherboard. So it was cheaper to purchase a new omen when I received the new omen, which I thought was, like the one I had I was very disappointed. This new model that runs windows 11 which is good looks and feels cheap. I am disappointed with the purchase. I wish I could return the machine. I will not buy another omen and I may not buy another HP again

Second HP Omen I've had - great so far!
So far loving the new Omen HP Laptop. I had a previous version for years which was fantastic and decided to re-buy. Super fast and smooth, great performance. It's a large laptop and a bit heavy, but not a major issue. I also preferred the previous look better but am fine with this one. One other slight issue is that there's not a numpad even though there seems to be room for one - not sure if I missed another option that had that but would have been nice. Overall fantastic.
