Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Malfunctioning touchpad and a bit more A very nice 17 inch unit but the touchpad is sticking on the left side area and the keyboard being silver isn't as easy to read in certain lighting conditions. If the sticking keyboard continues or gets worse I'll have to return it. The other complaint (sorry) I would lodge is that when I first bought it and turned in on, It appeared to immediately be taken over by a virus that started screaming not to TURN IT OFF OR TERRIBLE THINGS WILL HAPPEN! So I had to work through all that before I could load my Malwarebytes software and scan the machine etc. etc. Not a very welcoming start. Otherwise it's a very nice machine.

The only problem is I hadn't received it. On 01 March I sent HP an email to ask where was my Care Pack. Their response it "it can take up to 8 business days" to update the account. Only today, 06 March, 10 business days later (or 2 weeks, as everyone else says it) did this reflect on my laptop. Shall I assume that any problems with my laptop would be covered just as quickly? Yeah... this is not how I expect to be treated as a customer.

Great computer, great price, awesome extended warranty because if you dont use it, you get a refund, very reasonable protection. I will only buy HP because of this great warranty.
