These cartridges are way too expensive. But, it's not like i have a choice. $50 for a few ounces of ink is ridiculous. I paid $60 for the printer and it cam with ink cartridges. Printer ink has the highest markup of anything you can buy,

Bought this on the HP site after I had checked other sites. Price was good (matched or lower than several large shopping sites) and free shipping without spending a lot. Cartridge was fresh, installed easily and printed without issue. Clearly hadn't been sitting around and losing moisture. Arrived quickly, although ability to track was not great. Tracking number resulted in message that essentially said "We don't know when it will arrive" but it did come pretty quickly and in time for me to print necessary page.

Although this is an assortment two pack , it has the flavors I wanted , The first shot I did was the black , smooth deep mocha flavor Excellent
Shortly followed by cherry , blueberry and banana tri flavored cartridge , A heavenly taste. I have not yet combined both flavors that will have to wait to my next order

"Good Ink, But Too Expensive"
Just bought 3 cartridges from Walmart for $77.00. Can't afford the XL. Prices sure have went up and I get less copies on two different printers. I only recommend HP ink because the generics I try are mostly duds.

Is this Pigment Based Ink? I have a 3637 HP DESKJET and I want to make photo transfers. I read Pigment Based Ink held up better
Thank you for your interest in the HP 63 2-pack Black/Tri-color Original Ink Cartridges. The black is a pigment-based ink while the color is dye based. Pigment tends to dry faster but be less bright making it a better fit for documents. The dye-based inks tend to take a little longer to dry but give you a much brighter image and that is a better fit for photos. Multiple factors have a part in how well the ink and the image will hold up overtime. The HP photo paper will also play a part as it is designed to lock the ink in and help give a more vibrant longer lasting image. It is complicated though since it will also depend on the type of photo paper you want to use and how you want to store it.
