Battery blues from
Design flaw/ supply problems.
It is amazing that I have to have a battery to use a printer that has an electric cord for power and charging the battery. I lost several days of work due to this design flaw. Additionally, it was very difficult to order the battery as it is sold in two different ways on your store and both are different prices and one is out of stock while the other is available(thankfully). I love the functionality and portability of the printer, the battery is and issue.

I take this mobile all in one with me in my travel trailer. It’s invaluable for printing, copying and scanning. It’s wireless for facing as well, though I rarely use this feature.

Happy with my Purchase
When looking for a printer, I wanted a quality image, scanning capabilities and wifi printing. This printer has all that and more! The mobility is more useful than expected. I bought a second battery as a back up but it don’t need it. Ink cartridges are relatively more inexpensive to other printer. Very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommended it. User friendly interface!

Two questions: 1. Does the battery need to be physically installed to charge via AC or USB? 2. Can the USB power the device (print) if the battery dies?
Thank you for your question! Yes, just like with a laptop, the battery must be physically installed in the HP Mobile printer 200/250 in order to charge. The printer is powered by the provided AC adapter, the printer will not use USB to charge.
