Don’t buy this model. I should have listened to the reviewers.
This model was suggested as a replacement for my previous 3-in-one printer with the dead print head. I am disappointed, frankly. The instruction that came with the printer for set up were incomplete. The structure of the paper tray and copy tray are very flimsy plastic and don’t operate smoothly (I had to actually provide some lubricant 😞 to get them to slide). Making copies from a book yesterday, I had problems with the printer looking for an original from the document feeder- so ANY pressure whatsoever (I mean just resting my hand on it) on the top to press down the book at all triggered this. It is a much slower printer than the previous HP printer. The ink provided with the printer covered about 15 copies at most then totally failed, causing smearing of the copies and just a big mess.
The copies , when they occur and before the low ink situation, are crisp. This is just a disappointing and flimsy printer. It was not by any means inexpensive, so why so cheaply made??? The ink cartridges for this printer are a step back also, with the huge orange plastic top that has to be twisted off by strong, non-arthritic thumbs- a waste of plastic and energy which my previous printer had greatly improved upon. I was told this newer model worked with the “new” HP inks, but this cartridge design also seems like a failure and nothing progressive. Why the big wasteful plastic top to throw away every time??? Don’t buy this model.

This is the worst printer I have ever bought. The WiFi connectivity is unstable and the printer (when it actually connects to WiFi) hangs with a "printing" message when the job has finished so no other jobs can run

Not Worth Installing
I HATE it. If I could afford it, I would junk it and buy a Canon as I had previously. Your "Instant Ink" is a scam. I suddenly cannot print - though your website says I am enrolled in Instant Ink. I tried to discontinue it because you never sent me ink and I was out. So, I bought some from your website. Now it says I don't have "Instant Ink" ink cartridges! I just want to print, that is all. I am 71-years-old and disabled. I don't need this.

Poor quality.
The printer works well, however, it is very cheaply made. The paper tray is very flemsy. Also, no instructions on how to open up the ink cartridge area. Instructions tell you just to open the side panel, but you have to press down on a concealed button before it will open. Instructions could have explained that. Our old HP was made much better. Not very happy since I thought that HP made quality products.

Screen size a little small
I am happy with the new printer.
My only complaint is that screen on the new printer is alot smaller than my old hp 8600 OFJ pro because of this when I go to scroll down my finger will overlap and choose something I did not wand I miss the old larger arrows.
Printing is excellent and wifi works well other than the screen size it's a great printer.

This is an upgrade from the 8020 series printer. Works well and so far no problems. I hope to have this a while. I'm still using the 8020 series printer, but I was having cartridge color problems with it. It still prints fine, but the colors print out yellow and pink.

the printer is nice looking. The printer paper tray will not allow me to adjust to the size of paper. I almost broke it before I stopped and have yet get to move for adjustment. The instructions for installation are too short and what is there is not clear. The use of a scan bar is probably ok for a person that has a phone that can make a picture and is able to understand what they m\receive. My phone says hello, good bye, come and get me. No text, no photos, just a simple usable d
for a person my age. Contact with the automated "people" is scrambled and difficult to use. Explaination of connecting WiFi is almost non existent. I am not a computer nerd. I can get print from the printer, but I cannot get print from computer to printer, I purchased the 8034e printer because I was getting correspondence requiring a eprinter.. Also my 8620 became outdated.
But with the 8520 I got a person if I needed help. So if you want my thoughts on the 8034e don't ask for it right now

I love the printer because it’s an all in one machine that we use in our mini office 24/7. The wifi function provides a lot of convenience when we are on-the-go and needing to print in a snap wether in the phone or laptop. Additional function of scanner is also a plus. I just received my new HP office jet pro 8034e printer. As I've not owned very many printers before this was a little new to me. The set up was rather easy and simple. The bright color touch screen was a nice feature. Set up only took a little bit of time. The pages came out super night and bright with color. I'm still getting my things together so I can print all I need. Would recommend this printer to anyone who was printing as ease. Will add photos when I get some taken of the printer in action. All in all I'm very happy with my new HP office pro printer.

HP Officejet Pro 8034e – the new printing adventure begins…
Delivery and set-up 1.14.2023
The setup of the HP Officejet Pro 8034e required intuitiveness and problem-solving.
The first thing I noticed was the removal of the unit required putting the box down on its side and then pulling the printer out. Like most consumers, I was initially guided by my own excitement; getting a new, compact, yet full-featured HP Officejet Pro printer. I intuitively started to pull the printer straight up out of the top of the box, then hesitated. I finally noticed the plastic wrapping with blue printing. The blue diagrams guided first-time users to turn the box, then pull the unit out of the box by the Styrofoam as if the machine were resting on a counter, ready for use.
The second thing I noticed was the length of the power cord. Unfortunately, it is a short length, so absent an extension cord or surge protector, the printer could not be used without a fairly close outlet.
The third thing that drew my attention was Step 3 of the Setup Guide. This was a substantial issue that many users could have. It took me several minutes to figure out that in order to access the cartridges installation area, both the automatic feeder and scanner cover must be simultaneously lifted. Lifting the automatic feeder separately locks the scanner lid in place. I could easily see myself forcing the scanner lid up and breaking it absent dually applying a measure of patience.
Usage update 2.11.23
It has been almost a month since I started using the HP Officejet Pro for my business and graduate school studies. While the speed isn’t exactly fast, it is a competent little performer. I’ve scanned, printed, and copied, using the printer, on a daily basis. What is particularly wonderful about this machine is that while many printers have momentary delays in printing as they converse with various computers, software programs, and websites, no such issues occur with the HP Officejet Pro 8034e. It quickly interprets and then prints flawlessly. This saves time and more importantly, removes typical printing anxiety. My only real complaint is that the first batch of ink ran out too quickly.

This is an excellent printer! I received it for free in my honest opinion and I can tell you that it is very good. It prints very fast, copies and scans. I used to have a different brand of printer and I struggled a lot trying to connect it to my computer or get it to work with my phone. I like this hp printer is that it is compact, it does not take up much space. Perfect for use in school activities, work or personal activities. I love the ink system, every month I get supplies of ink. For 6 continuous months. The most. You save money on supplies. It really is a good option that added hp.

Nice addition for home
This HP printer was a huge upgrade from our previous model and the difference is outstanding. The printer prints color pages in exceptional quality. The speed of the printer is nothing to complain about. The printer can be loud but that isn’t an issue in my home.

I was so excited when my wife had signed up and was chosen to take part in a campaign for the HP Office Jet Pro 8034e because it meant I would take part in it too. We never had good luck with any printer so I naturally was expecting at least something to go wrong… but Im impressed. Not only is the design so sleek and modern but the fact that it everything is so smooth running is exactly how a printer should be coming from a household that utilizes it a often. Signing up for the instant ink is a such a smart move along with the paper subscription. It really is so convenient! Every part of the experience was so flawless. Thanks HP!

The 910 setup cartridges do come with it. If you use the HP Smart app for the setup, you will also get the option to opt-in for HP+ which gives you an extra year of warranty, HP+ Support for two years, the HP Smart Advance app, and a free year of Instant Ink all at no extra cost. Will this printer print on 12 mil. photo paper? I can find weights, but nothing about thickness.
Thank you for your question! This HP OfficeJet 8035e Pro All-in-One is compatible with 60 to 75 lb (photo) paper. 75-pound photo paper is 11.8 mils thick. 12 mil thickness is close but you should be fine. Make sure to only load the paper tray about 50% to full for best results.

does the 8035e have a usb port?

The USB cable is not included. This printer also has a front USB port that allows you to scan to a USB flash drive or print photos from a USB flash drive.
