Rated 3 out of 5 by BarryISU from Slow out of box, but fine aft RAM upgrade from 8B It was slow out of the box, even after uninstalling unnecessary apps and updating BIOS, drivers, and all software. I bought an 8GB DIMM off Amazon for $20 and upgraded RAM from 8GB to 16GB. Now it works well. HP should not sell it with 8GB as it is almost nonfunctional. We almost returned it.

Many times the system will take 45-60 minutes to shut down because of system work. What the work is is never clear, but I'm beginning to thing that HP Wolf and other bloatware is part of the problem. Hopefully performance will improve as initial system set up completes, but so far that hasn't happened.

Hello. Thanks for your question. This system is preinstalled with Windows 10 Pro software and also comes with a license for Windows 11 Pro software and provision for recovery software. You may only use one version of the Windows software at a time. Switching between versions will require you to uninstall one version and install the other version. You must back up all data (files, photos, etc.) before uninstalling and installing operating systems to avoid loss of your data.
