Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from This is a pretty good computer so far, except for its speakers. I am enjoying this computer quite a bit after not having bought a new one for 10 years. Windows 11 is of course awful, but that isn't HP's fault. I am using this device as a home computer and although its description clearly stated it was more optimized for business, its hardware specifications and sale price met my requirements. I haven't had any problems with it yet (knock on wood). But because it was optimized for business, I wonder if my one dislike about it is due to that optimization: the speakers seem to be weak on the unit, being very faint and tinny. Watching Youtube videos for instance is somewhat less enjoyable because of this. Perhaps I have a setting wrong, or maybe I'm supposed to only use headphones for sound. I don't know if this is common for business computers, is limited to this model, or is a quirk of just my unit. I wish there was something that could be done to improve the sound quality. Other than that, I like it. I hope it lasts at least as long as my previous computer.

The operating system updated as expected with very little difficulty. the notebook has excellent memory and storage and for the price it was a great buy. I have had no issues with the notebook and quite pleased with the performance of the notebook.

I use a HP G5 dock, Utilizing a single USB-C connection for multiple monitors. Will the 2050 GPU be able to work through said dock? Likewise, will the dock be able to provide enough power for the whole laptop?

Thank you for your question! The quality of the GPU will not impact compatibility with the Dock. A USB-C port with DisplayPort and PowerDelivery or Thunderbolt Port is required. As this HP ProBook 460 16-inch G11 Notebook PC features 2 USB Type-C® 20Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) ports, this will be compatible with an HP USB-C G5 Dock.

How long will the battery last under normal typing and searching use?

Thank you for your question! As this is a customizable laptop, no battery life information is available. As with all batteries, the maximum capacity of any battery included in the HP Hardware Product will decrease with time or use, and the battery cycle life will vary depending on product model, configuration, loaded applications, features, use, wireless functionality, and power management settings. Typically, an HP ProBook 460 G11 16" Laptop has up to 8.5 hours of battery life, which will vary depending on the actual laptop.
