For some reason, my HP computer won't work with bluetooth or usb tongle keyboards and mice, so I have to use something like this. My only complaint is that the keyboard is wo wide. It is hard to fit it on my desk with enough room for my mouse. Left-handed people won't have the same problem.

Is this mouse silent?

No, the mouse in this HP Wired Desktop 320MK Mouse and Keyboard package is not silent. There will be normal sounds when using the mouse such as clicks.
