Rated 1 out of 5 by wmcole from Don't Buy If Your Livelihood Depends On It HP substituted a lower cost GFX card for the one I selected, refused to swap or refund difference. BIOS and Wolf Security features make running Windows 10 compatible add-on hardware and applications VERY IFFY. And HP has no natural born human native (or fluent) English speaking tech support you can contact with error logs/symptoms etc.

However the four year care package that was purchased has still not been delivered and trying to pull it up online using the tower’s serial number also did not work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JRL_ from Pro Tools Errors and my new HP Z8 G5 So far, the system is very nice on it's own. However, I have run into difficulty using it for the intended purpose. I hope I have not made a mistake with this product. My problem is using this computer with Pro Tools Ultimate software and the HDX hardware for a sound design workspace. I have been working with Avid on a solution but I can't help thinking there is an incompatibility somewhere. When trying to spec out this purchase I could not find the system recommended by Avid for Pro Tools so I picked a machine that met or exceeded the requirements listed on their site. I am concerned that Pro Tools software is so picky about the platforms to run on. I'm still in the troubleshooting process and have not yet deployed the system for actual use.

Please Include all PCle gen 5 connections and modern connections all around. It's disappointing that it has only one Gen 5, and sadly, it still has Gen 3. I unfortunately will not be able to purchase with these old connections.
