Hp refuses to let me use MY printer that I own. I
It would probably be great if you're company had not shut down my printer because I don't have a contract for ink and paper I'm going to try to use the printer right now to see if it will work now. if not then I will look for a different brand of printer for my home.

When I put the cartridge in it tells me to put it in correctly and press ok. The cartridge is in correctly. I have tried turning the computer off, unplugging it and resetting it. Nothing works. Waste of money

To pay over $100 for 2 ink cartridges is outrageous. I'll be looking for a new non-HP printer soon that is more economical to use. Also the shipping packaging was insufficient. The cartridges looked like they had been run over by a vehicle a few times. Hope they work. No longer satisfied with HP.

Not so good on the color cartridge
Came quickly but after 2 weeks of use started streating. So took it out and cleaned the ink cartridge by wiping it on a wet clth then wiping it on dry paper towel. All colors finally showed so put it back in and the next 5 prints were great but then it started streaking again. Did I get an old cartridge? Never had this happen before in all the years we've use this printer

Experience with the toner has been questionable
usually the toner is very good recently not this order but the past order the toner would not work in the printer. Not sure of this one yet as I have not loaded this in the printer. But like I say usually the toner is very good. Had it not been for the experience lately with both the tri color and the black I would rate 5 star.

Printer rejects HP labelled products from credible suppliers
I ordered a set of these inks from Costco, which came packaged as an HP product, yet when installed in printer, I got a message that “printer could not communicate” . I then drove to Staples, bought the same thing, identified as an HP product and got the same rejection from my printer.

What is the difference between the hp 62 cartridge and the 62 xl?

The HP 62XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink is a high-yield cartridge with a page yield of up to 415 pages whereas the HP 62 Standard cartridge has a page yield of up to 165 pages. Actual yield will vary depending on the amount of content on the page. Highly "dense" documents may yield fewer pages than the ISO standard, while less dense ones would yield more pages than the standard. Printing that uses primarily one color could cause lower yields for that color, and higher yields for colors not heavily used. The yield you experience will depend upon the content that you print.

Why do you advertise XL as to hundreds of pages, when I printed 12 photos 4x6 and cartridge depleted, ?
The HP 62XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge will print up to 415 printed pages. As photos use much more ink than a standard printed page, the ink cartridges will deplete much faster.

Says made in Malaysia How do I know they aren't counterfeit? has 2 different UPC's and a bar code.
Thank you for your question! All cartridges purchased from the HP US Store are authentic. Products purchased from the HP US Store ship directly from HP. If the cartridge was not purchased here check the packaging, the cartridge itself, and use a QR code scanner or go to HP's website.
Packaging
Original HP cartridges come in premium quality packaging that is consistent. The packaging should not be damaged or opened.
Cartridge
The cartridge should be unused, with no damage, ink leakage, or toner dust.
QR code
Scan the QR code on the cartridge box with a QR code scanner app. You can also go to hp.com/go/ok, enter the serial number from the label, and click Verify.
Security label
The label should have holographic features. When you tilt the box, the toner buckets should change into shield icons, and the word "ORIGINAL" and the HP logo should appear and disappear.
Other features
Look for the HP logo on the cap, and make sure the tamper-proof seal is intact.

Can this 62 XL be used in a HP OfficeJet 5470 like the 62 cartridges?
The HP OfficeJet 5470 does not appear in the HP North American Product Database. Perhaps you meant HP OfficeJet 5740? If so the 5740 is compatible with the HP 62XL.
