    I am moving my office out of state for a few months. In order to ship my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw Wireless Printer do I need to do something special after I shut it off?  Does something need to be “parked”.

    To move an HP laser printer, you can follow these steps: 1. Prepare the printer Remove media: Take out any paper from the input and output trays Secure toner system: Make sure the toner is removed from the printer. Turn off the printer: Shut down the printer from the READY state and turn off the power switch Unplug the printer: Disconnect all cables and power cords Gather components: Put extra cables and trays in a bag and label it Tape trays closed: Use masking tape to keep trays from opening and breaking 2. Pack the printer Place the printer in a well-padded box Secure the printer with the original foam or other packing material Tape the box closed 3. Transport the printer Keep the printer upright and level Do not tilt or turn the printer upside down Use at least two people to lift and move the printer 4. Use the printer again Unpack the printer and place it on a level surface Open the front door and printhead access door Remove any cardboard from inside the printer Close the carriage latch and front door Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.

    The printer specs include the printing page rate but not the scanning page rate. How many pages can be scanned per minute and what are the rates for both one-sided scans and two-sided scans?

    For the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdn/4301fdw, the scan speeds using the ADF are (normal, A4) up to 29 ppm, up to 26 ppm, duplex (normal, A4), up to 44 ipm (b&w), up to 35 ipm (color), duplex (normal, letter), up to 46 ipm (b&w), up to 37 ipm (color), and (normal, letter), up to 31ppm, up to 28ppm.

Just a quick tip, you can install a USB WiFi adapter to your desktop to make it wireless. You can also set up this printer on your tablet and laptop with WiFi.
