HP Laptop 15z-fc100
Purchased to ensure I had a fully compatible Windows 11 machine to replace a 14-year Pavillion with a failing fan. This is the AMD-driven model. Smooth and efficient, the product works fine. Consistent with the downsizing trend in everything but pickup trucks, this model has few ports -- and a docking hub was a critical purchase, offsetting the highly discounted price of the device. I should be please by the use of recycled plastics for the shell, but having replaced my wife's laptop this year as well -- with a much stouter product -- the flimsiness of the shell should be a concern to anyone that travels with it. The design does mean no fan is needed, so I won't have to worry about that part failing in the next 14 years! At less than $400, however, the product was a bargain.

I am generally happy with my HP laptop. It is easy to use and has fast downloads. I like the
Copilot feature. There are a few problems I have not been able to fix. When I am typing, the cursor often skips back to earlier portions of the text. When I am scrolling down a page on a website, the text sometimes shoots down the page when I tap the down arrow, instead of going down line by line. I would have preferred a startup with no password, and for some reason, I have two login icons, event though I only have one account. The one that comes up first is inoperable, so I have to switch to the one that works. Finally, the touch is too sensitive, so the computer sometimes goes places I have not intended to go. This can happen when the cursor is over a spot for a while, even though I haven't touched it at all.

Nice laptop
Was expecting a metal cover, so I was disappointed to find a plastic cover. The blue color was nice. Laptop was easy to set up and use. It has a user friendly keyboard unlike my Lenovo with a very badly placed shift key.

Cheap & Poorly Packaged
Not only does the laptop itself feel incredibly cheap, it was a packaged so poorly that one arrived broken. Trying to get support for said issue was a horrible experience, so much so that I ended up returning both laptops and buying elsewhere. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Nice-looking but the cooling is not well designed
Nice-looking computer and the size and weight are good. Screen looks good and the sound is strong. Unfortunately, the cooling is not well designed. Sometimes it overheats and shutsdown in the middle of what I'm doing. This has happened on a flat table with no obstructions to the cooling. Would not recommend.

I want a new laptop for the purpose of home use online shopping and bill paying and the use of quickbooks 2018 installed can that be done on this laptop?
This HP Laptop - 15z-fc000 should be able to handle all of your uses from what was being asked in the question. However, it is recommended to visit the QuickBooks website to see if the 2018 version is compatible with Windows 11. As system requirements for software constantly change, we are unable to answer questions about software compatibility or performance. What is compatible today may not be in a few months.

Is the RAM soldered onto the motherboard or do they have slots? What about the SSD storage?

Are there only speakers on the underside of the computer? I have had issues in the past with sound quality being poor because of speakers only being on the bottom.
