Before they send you to a tech, you have to agree to a year’s subscription for service insurance or a one time payment. After you’re connected to a tech good luck. I purchased my computer in March 2025 and have used it for 3 weeks.

It would be good at full price, but for that price I would expect a touchscreen, perhaps a slightly brighter screen, and a backlit keyboard. Other than that, I'm very happy with this computer. It has a nice screen, the keyboard has a light touch, and the computer is fast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CASD from Poor location of delete key I do not like the location of the delete key. It is not in a good location, and being too small, it is easy to hit the key next to it. I often delete by mistake, not being a professional typist. It is very annoying.

does it have dvd drive and lit keyboard

Thanks for your question! The HP Laptop - 17z-cp300 does not feature a DVD drive or backlit keyboard. An external DVD drive is recommended and can be added in the Customize and Buy section.

Hello. Does this laptop have a slot for a second hard drive?

Greetings, I wanted to know if the RAM memory can be expanded. How fast should the modules be (3200mhz like the original)? What is the maximum that this laptop supports in each RAM memory expansion slot? Thanks a lot!

Thanks for your question! This HP Laptop 17-cp0097nr can be expanded to 32GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM. Different speed RAM could cause blue screens and system crashes. Also, the RAM slots are designed for the 3200 speed, if a faster speed is used and doesn't blue screen it will still operate at the 3200 speed.
